How do I stop the chirping?

I have a strange question. I know a lotta people use the predator because they WANT the hard shifting and the chirping sound when switching gears...

Well, my problem is when I hit the gas hard, the car goes, but then I hear chirping from the tires when switching gears, and I feel a jerk when the car switches gears.... Well, maybe some people like this(?) but I dont. How do I stop this? I want a smooth ride even when I floor the gas, I just want the car to GO and not stall when accelerating.

I've been running the 91CAI with MDS off, max speed limiter, 20%throttle boost, reset tcm, increased firmness.

I've tried to return the firmness to stock, but after it tells me to turn the key off then on, I go back and its still set as Increased.... After trying and trying, I've reset everything and installed the canned 91CAI. Havent driven it yet, but how do I make the car more responsive yet smoother?

When I'm smoking cars out there, it annoys me when I hear chirping. It makes me look like I'm trying too hard. I wanna smoke ppl silently... I like hearing the engine roaring, not the tire chirping and the car jerking back and forth from gear switches. Any help is appreciated!

Probably first step is no shift firmness

Just wear ear protection and you wouldn't even notice it!!

Lmao, just kidding

Try re-installing the factory tune, then put the 91 oct performace tune back in but make the modifications before you install the tune.

btw, what are your shift points? 6k?

I thought I had heard it all, now this? Trade your car immediately for a smart car.

ditch the 20% throttle boost. when HALF of your pedal travel is read as 100%, then its going to want to chirp tires. also, since you have an AWD, leave it in drive, and the front axle will stay engaged.
the shift firmness isnt helping at all either. you should be able to do softer shifts too. not sure WHY you'd want to though...

You shouldn't smoke cars...that's gotta be bad for your health :^)

Thats funny.

Actually I would like to know whats shift changes can be done.
I havent bought the U7135 yet, but I sold one for a Chevy. No TCM changes on the Chevy side.

Get a procharger. I only chirp 4th now. The other gears are just a blazing, screaming, tire shredding, smoke filled show of power. But defintely no chirping. :racing:

Thnx for all the replies, folks. And no, this is no joke. Its just personal preference. I like the performance and responsiveness from the predator, i just dont like the jerky chirping.

So, I've reloaded the canned 91CAI tune, and today I've tested it out, got onto a clear road and floored it. The car took off smoothly, with the roar, and I didn't hear any chirp. So, it must have been the increased stiffness (no pun intended).

Weird thing is, I didn't feel the gear change. So, (in km/h), I went from 0-100 and the rpm gage went to like 6 and I didnt feel a gear change. I let off the gas after 100, fearing my engine would explode or something, but I thought the stock shift change is at like 5400 or something? Also, why doesnt my gauge show where the redline is?

No, this aint no troll. I'm a noob to this mod scene and a noob to cars in general. This is my first car that I ever bought.

And my car starts out in RWD and switches to AWD whenever it feels like. I was running the 91CAI with MDS off, 20% throttle and increased firmness. And I definately could hear chirping between gear changes and a jerking feeling. Didn't know if it was my crappy stock tires or what.

Anyways, the problems been fixed. Running the stock 91CAI now and it seems to have smoothed itself out. I'm not a car guy (yet), so, if my questions seem noobish, don't mind me.

ok cool :)

Welcome then! Hang around and you'll get the mod bug it's highly contagious.

We were simply pointing out that it has happened in the past where bored members have created alternate accounts just to pull our chains :p

All in good fun !
