    Defect in Material and Workmanship

Took Scat to dealer for concern for the driver seat having the leather coming apart on seat back. According to FCA, they have rejected replacement of seat back under the digital imaging program.

    Car equipped with rhe
Leather w/Alcantara Performance Seats in a Plum Scat Pack @ 27111 miles.

Should leather be pealing? Not at 27k miles on these seats. Car Built 4/2018 in service date 5/5/18.

FCA You do pay big money to keep Lxforums happy and clean. This request was Rejected on 6/12/2019.
Anyone else having leather issues driver seat at 1 year.
PlumKrazy to post the pic of the same seat the dealer took pictures of.

Well congrats to the Blues and I'm surprised you are having this failure, the alcantara is normally very durable. Maybe a wrinkle or two but that's about it.

But 27,000 miles is a lot of miles so they are probably saying normal wear and tear. I don't believe it but not sure what you can do to change their mind.

Twenty seven thousand miles is not alto of miles. These seats should be better than this.
This just goes back to the Harmon Kardon fiasco. Operating as designed.

While 27k miles is not a lot. It really comes down to how they are treated. If you are 300 lbs and drag across it every time you get in and out then they well wear faster then someone 100lbs that does not touch the side when they get in and out.

    I agree.
That is a TINY amount of wear.
I just recently bought an older car, (non Mopar), and almost ALL of them have extreme wear in that area. The one I bought has NO wear in that area, with same or more miles as ones with wear.
If you're going to have high bolstered seats, it's an art form to get in and out the right way.
I drove 200 miles to buy a car that was owned by someone who treated it right.
My point is it's all about how you get in and out. Touch up stain (or paint or something) and caution will keep this issue looking good for a long time.

Well this car does have a 5.7 belt on it from the factory. So maybe the seats are a miss build too.

27,000 miles is a lot of miles with regards to your seat wear plus the damage is to the bolster which could be said to be normal wear and tear from getting in and out.

Like I said in my first post, I'm not saying I agree with it, but this is why I think FCA has said what they did as they have denied many cases like this with far less miles.

27k miles is not alot overall but for being 13months old. That's a good bit of miles.

Highway miles transporting foster kids to see their parents every month adds up quick.
