Dynamics Package vs. Widebody Scat Pack

I'm debating between a standard body Scat Pack with the Dynamics Package and Adaptive Suspension vs. a Widebody Scat Pack.On paper, they seem similar in that they both get the 6-piston Brembos, flat bottom steering wheel, adaptive suspension, and wider tires (albeit 275's vs. 305's). I know the Widebody has different suspension tuning, but does anyone have first hand experience with regards to how differently they actually drive?I realize the Widebody can fit wider tires, but I believe on the 9.5" wheels that come on the Dynamics Package, I can upgrade the rears to 295's so probably not a ton of difference between 295 vs. 305 I'd imagine. On the fronts, however, I believe 275 is as wide as you can go without rubbing on the standard body. Not sure how big a difference 275 vs. 305 makes for the fronts. The way I'm looking at it, it's $3k additional for the Widebody vs. the Dynamics + Adaptive Suspension, and I'm wondering if there's an actual functional difference, or whether it's really more aesthetics.

I was debating the same things. I went with standard body with dynamics package and adaptive damping suspension. I did this because I wanted plus package as well. So it just worked out better financially for me at this time. I don’t know that this helps you at all (probably not) but thought I would just share my story.

So can you put 295 on the 9.5 wheel? Good luck with your decision. It is a tuff one.

The question you need to ask yourself, what are your plans for the car? If you aren't seriously considering tracking the car, save some money and get the standard.

If you are considering tracking at all or just like the look of the wide body. Go for it. You won't regret it then.

I’ve had both and my most recent is the Widebody but it was mostly just the look. Some don’t like it but if you put them side by side you’ll see the difference, to me the stance and overall look is much nicer. And yes you get different suspension , even if not on a track, I do notice a difference from my first scat packs in the handling department. That being said, I get no better straight line traction really.

As soon as the widebody came out, I traded in my 18 with the Dynamics. Basically the same car. Traction is way better at launch but man the stance. So Bad Ass

The F8 looked way better stance wise imo. If you're truly after stance it handling, why not get basic and upgrade to a REAL adjustable suspension?

I just placed an order for the car, and ended up going with the standard body Scat Pack with the Dynamics package + adaptive suspension. If cost were completely not a concern, I might've chosen differently, but as I started to build out the car, I had to weigh whether the incremental cost of each option was going to be "worth it" to me, and ultimately, had the draw the line somewhere. Otherwise I probably could've justified the costs all the way up to a Hellcat. So, I feel like given what the car will be used for, I still get most of what I'd want with the Dynamics Package, while still saving about $3k in cash. If the stock 275's seem inadequate, I can always upgrade to better tires or even put 295's on the stock rears, and that should help. Thanks again to everyone that provided their input - much appreciated!

Nice, what color did you end up ordering? Did you go ahead with the adaptive damping suspension? Congrats man! Mine is at dealership. I take delivery Monday. I’ll post some pics when I do. Make sure and post yours too.
