I was always a Mopar guy. Loved them in high school, but couldn't afford a car. Looking at used cars while stationed in Florida, I saw a '73 Charger. Cheap, fast and good looking, I bought it. Next was a Satellite, another Charger, Cordoba, Magnum, 5th Avenue, repeat as necessary. I loved the Magnum wagon when it came out, but I don't buy new for myself. I finally decided recently to let go of my '79 300, and bought a Magnum RT. I love it.

I almost got a Formula Firehawk in 1999, the Camaro SS was a better value, but I LOVE the Firehawks

We'll start with the 96 Impala SS. Test drove an Evo 8, which was a riot to drive, and made the switch. Evo was fun but not comfortable for road trips, especially without cruise control. Saw a Magnum SRT at a local dealer and after a test drive the search was on. Found a killer deal on an 06 Magnum SRT and pulled the trigger. I absolutely loved the Magnum, it was quick, fun to drive, and great for road trips. I drove the Magnum for 12 years and put over 200k miles on it. After that many years the Magnum was starting to show its age and it was time to find something newer. I loved the Chargers, IMO one of the best looking sedans on the road today, and a Hellcat would've been amazing but couldn't justify the money (adulting sucks!), so settled on an 18 Scat Pack.

First car was a 1980 White Dodge Church Van the one with four rows of seats and room for luggage and a 350. I think this may have been where I found my love for burn outs haha Took all the seats out except one row and carpeted the back. It was the best high school surf van ever.Went to New Zealand for year. I bought Hillman Hunter from my Grandmothers neighbor car was awesome ran and ran all over the country and down an uncountable number of dirt and gravel roadsI got back and my parent had sole my Van and turned my room into an office. So I went and got a Kawasaki KLR 250 as my sole form of transportationNext was a Jeep Cherokee. Great car for traveling down Baja surfing. Was great car until my boss at the time borrowed it and his crazy girlfriend threw it into park on the freeway doing 70. Transmission never recovered. My next car was the first car where I really got the one I wanted. It was Black on black Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with the Supercharged V6. I ran it in the SCCA and 1/4 mile stuff. Modified it with suspension smaller pulley tuned etc. For a front wheel drive grocery getter that car had some ballsWhen I was a kid growing up in New Zealand my Dad was navigator for a rally team running a Ford escort Cosworth RS. So I have always been into rally. So in 2002 when they first brought the WRX to the US I bought a 2002 WRX Wagon. My thought at the time was they would be bringing the STi eventually but they would never bring the STi Wagon so I knew I had the best engine gear box they would send to US in a wagon. This car was highly modified over the 13 years I owned it and I did a bunch of SCCA Auto Cross stuff and a few track days. From Brakes to Lateral Links to PPG Straight cut gears and LSD, turbo and Meth injection. I loved this little car and despite what was on the inside it was real sleeper putting down almost 500 to all the wheels. Eventually I just got sick of having to register it in AZ due to the CA laws. That and I had a third kid so no room for a car seat and two boosters. I will say I never actually put it up for sale as I couldn't do it. Mu old tuner in Tucson recommended it to someone who flew out and made me an offer I could not refuse.Tried to get a Scat Pack but there were literally none to be had. You could order but they would not even give a date for the build. I kept watching the site and going to dealers to find the car was already sold. So I bought a 2015 Nissan Maxima. I hated it from the rubber band CCT tranny to the fact it appeared to be invisible in on the road and especially in parking lots. I had it for 13 months and it was hit twice while parked for a total of $12,000 in damage. Got killed when I traded it in.I realized I would not be happy until I got this car. SO I searched and searched but none were available in San Diego. I found one on a truck going to a dealer and went in and bought it site unseen. Then had to wait a few weeks for it to arrive. Love this car every time I walk up to it makes me happy. I was also very pleased to see the Whipple for this car is CARB approved so I can modify without having to register out of state. I love my Bright White Scat Pack white with red and black upgraded interior. Love love it

There's some really great cars in this thread. Thanks for sharing!

I edited my initial post and added a few pics of my favorite cars. I've had my 98 Lexus since it was practically new, and for some reason, could never get rid of it. It was almost the same way with the Eclipse which I bought new in 97 and finally made the decision to sell it in 2015. I was super attached to that car, but I got tired of it being a constant money pit.

Back in 03, I bought a brand new Mitsubishi Evo, and it spent more time in the shop than on the road. I managed to get a dealer buyback on it after the 4th xfer case replacement and finally washed my hands of it. I almost bought another Evo when the 9's hit in 06, but by that time I had lost interest in owning one.

Then there was the Saturn... man what a super fun car that was. It belonged to my ex-wife, who I had just started dating and she had bought it brand-new. It was this boring gold color and I remember thinking what a great sleeper it would make at the street races. (don't judge, we all did dumb **** when we were young). I was doing part time work for a buddy that owns a local fab shop and I convinced her to let him turbocharge it.
That car really held it's own on the street and was just a blast to drive.
