i am browsing mopar parts sites but i can't find wheels ?? some sites have some wheels but nowhere i can find all wheels ? why is that ? wheels are not parts or accessories ?
when i google oem wheels all sorts of other sites come up.
thanks for pointing out what i am doing wrong
Oem wheels from the dealer will cost you a kidney and a liver !!!! Best to find a take off set from the classifieds on here , or like combat said on Facebook.
What wheels exactly are you looking for ??
I have a full set of mint Alcoa’s from a 09 challenger srt. They don’t make them anymore so not not going cheap $2000
The hellcat replicas that are everywhere and fit our chargers are not all exactly the same, not sure about WRTs. I recommend factory reproductions brand (I think they are also a sponsor). Theirs also fit over my six piston front brakes, which other brands even though same style did not.
Mainly because they are supposed to be reproductions of the factory wheel. Before I bought mine nobody pointed out this issue, nor is it stated anywhere they are sold. One reason why I am pissed off is I bought new center caps and modified them with bright red Dodge hash marks (it's a fairly time consuming job if done right). When I went to install them I found out that they are not accurate reproductions. If this happened to you, or anyone else in this community, I'm fairly certain you'd be pissed off too.
No, if I bought reproductions, I'd expect them to be just that...not factory, but reproductions.
It's called Factory Reproductions, not factory duplicates.
Anytime you buy aftermarket wheels, there are going to be differences. So no, I wouldn't be pissed. I also wouldn't have modified factory centers to go on anything but factory wheels.
Reproductions are supposed to be a copy of the OEM (Reproduction: the action or process of making a copy of something.), to me that means exactly the same, not a major difference in the design that renders it useless in a similar manner. I bought new center caps thinking that they would fit on an OEM reproduction. It must be hard to be so perfectly correct 24/7.
I'm willing to bet that they are Factory Reproductions brand. I'm glad you didn't get stuck like I did. You got lucky.
My wheel caps fit mine. But another tidbit of info: 95% of the wheel company’s get there wheels from fr. so if fr doesn’t have them nobody else will. There all just resellers of fr wheels.
Maybe I'm just dense, but a copy equals the exact same thing. Why would anyone think that a reproduction or a copy would be different in a way that makes it not a copy? Why would I think that a reproduction would have such a major difference? See I asked two similar questions, differently. I did not copy my question or it would have looked the same. Similar does not equal a copy or reproduction. Got it. /'(o o)'\ I wouldn't have spent time modifying center caps had I had any doubt that the wheel would have had a major difference, that's why I try to make people aware of such a major difference in regards to FR wheels.
Maybe you missed where I said, "A copy is never ever exactly the same as the original". Always, ALWAYS, there is some difference between them. Maybe it's big and noticeable, maybe you have to look for it.
A company that makes reproduction wheels isn't using the exact same material or measurements as the OE wheel, or they'd be OE wheels, not reproductions.
The OP was looking for OE wheels anyhow, before you spazzed out because your center caps didn't fit your way less expensive copies.
