interesting... I guess a lot of similar cars i.e. camaro etc will have trouble with traction lol..... FCA, this is why we need a widebody scat pack charger already! from what I have read, the widebody challey and it's 11"/315's all around seems to do a much better job of traction and handling thanks to a wider tire all around lol.....

Wider tires in the front will not help you get to 60 faster....they'll actually slow you down ;-)

But don't the OE widebody models come with wider rear meats?

No wider than the 315/35's I have on now lol. Everything I'm reading says they come with 305/35's.

I was mainly picking on Heat because he said wider at all 4 corners.

LOL.. yes I understand that but wider all around should help with overall handling... I believe the wide body has the same at all corners, I thought they were 315's but you might be right at 305's... I do know they are 11" rims... I'll check again but in any event it should help with traction and it looks great too!

A lot of bickering, but not a lot of information here. Well, I won't be going the Firestone route thanks to OP. Looking at NTB Conti Sure Contact RX AS 275 40/20, appreciate any thoughts. I ran the Pzero's to 24k which is too long, its winter here so I'm going slow(er) anyway.

I understand the hate with P-Zero’s, etc. I made some comments on the beginning of the thread about them but didn’t give any details about why I enjoy them. I work at a Porsche dealer as well as a Porsche Racing dealer. I got my PZero’s ordered through here that have come on our GT3’s and GTS’s. The 3RS and 2RS come with here Michelin’s Cup2’s or Pirelli PZero Rosso’s. So far I’ve enjoyed every moment of these tires. No road noise, they smoke great, still have a great amount of life left. Which is why i recommend them based on my personal experience with them and my experience with them on Porsche’s.

Lol well I meant wider from the factory versus the 245s or 275s that guys are driving off of the lot with currently, I figured some good natured harassment was going on, but I still wondered.

I will NOT pass up the opportunity to pick on Heat. Unless he posts it while I'm asleep....then it's on when I see it hahahahaa

I wouldn’t expect anything different from Punisher! haha.... in any case these tires ride great but they sure don’t grab well in the dry... I think I’ll be going back to summers next even though they don’t last more than 12-14k lol....

Good natured banter/harassment is in short supply lately, everyone's egos are too easily bruised, everyone is too easily offended.

No worries or ego here... I was wrong as they are 305’s .. not sure why I thought 315’s but at least I was right about 11” rim....wonder if they can take 315’s with no modification although that might chance the overlap diameter some? In any case 305 over 275’s on all corners must help and they sure do look better

Man what I wouldn't give to put 305s square...I love a good straight line pull, but I enjoy lateral Gs far more.

Are you at Champion? I have run Porsche Michelins exclusively since discovering them although I run what is oem spec for the Panamera due to it's similar weight to the lx. Are the load ratings suitable for a 4000+ lb vehicle on the tires designed for the much lighter 911?
