widebody charger...

just read an article that said they believe 2020 will bring the widebody option to the charger in the scat pack and HC trims, with different suspension, 11" rims, and 305's from the factory? Do we know if this is confirmed and how much that option will be? Next question, will it be worth it?this is going to mess me up if later this year I find a Scat with widebody LOL.... My wife is going to kill me hahah...

I can already predict you’ll be one of the first to get one. Tell the missus to go ahead and clean up the rolling pin/ cast iron frying pan with the non slip grip and get the doghouse ready

Sounds possible seem as dodge always upgrade the challenger and then the chargers, plus I heard sales was down 9.2 percent for 2018 charger sales! So the wide body scat pack, hellcat and throw in a red eye charger would be a beast! Nothing like a 4 door grocery getter yet still have the looks and power of a true beast!

A wide body Charger Hellcat with the Redeye motor option will have me adjusting my finances accordingly. But it must have at least the Redeye motor.

I believe Wide Body Charger Red Eyes would changes sales completely. We know FCA is listening. Why else would we see v6 with SRT body kits from factory.

Not buying the timeline, but it definitely could be possible. MY20 is out because mules would already have been spotted testing at this point. Take a look at when the first WB Challengers were spotted, compared to release. 2021 would be more likely.

Also was pretty sure the same leak nixed the idea of a Redeye variant.

Let's say the 2020 charger widebody comes out on time, this would mean that those of us that aren't ready to get a 2020 wide body may have access to mopar parts from that car, and they might fit :-)

all good stuff... I hope it doesn't come out for 2020 LOL as that would mean I have to part with more cash sooner haha.... and yes, I don't think I could resist if there was one on a lot nearby one day...2121 might be perfect, i think my f8 can make to then....I do like the sound of factory 11" with 305's... which probably means we can get 315's on there? and different suspension and maybe a few other goodies lol.... I also think it would look great with a little wider stance/body/tires....

Damn......I must the only one that doesn’t like it....in a good way.

I don’t want a car payment....so I want to pay it off ( little less than 3 years) not upgrade.

Honestly Heat00, automotive news today is full of "fake" news just like mainstream. This MT is just another repost of the same story from earlier. If someone can find some camo'd test cars rolling around, then I would say possible. But MY20 should start production this summer. There's not enough time to do aero/NVH and other essential testing needed with body/suspension changes needed for a widebody in that kind of time frame. Not unless they are doing double secret testing and no one has managed to get a photo lol.

Could they say "2020" but it actually become available last order cycle for MY20....it is possible. Or did someone mean 2020 as in the year it will be available (as a MY21). That I could believe.

I hear ya SuperSound... but one can dream and hope LOLI saw a widebody challey in person today when I went it for service... and let me tell you, in person it's amazing.... and if they did the challey, isn't it fair to think they will do the charger? Come on FCA!!! Give me widebody scat pack charger... if it does ever happen, I'll buy the first one I see on the lot... believe me HAHAHA....I'm even tempted by the widebody scat challey I saw today, $49k and it had a lot of options, DG color.... in a few more years when my son has his own car, I could consider a challey as he's the only one ever that needs a back seat LOL.... I really prefer chargers but man that widebody with 305's and 11.5" rims looks mean.....
