    Washing/Pressure Wash With Daytona intake.

I normally take my cars and pressure wash the front hood/bumpers/windshield. How do you guys handle that with these Daytona’s? I don’t know if the ram air will effect it or not also.
    Thanks again all!

I stay away from pressure wash..and I have one. Only use it for the foamer and low pressure rinse. I presoak with a cleaner called Voom.. RV product. Wash with car wash soap & Calgon. Blow dry with $5 leaf blower (yard sale) and final dry with 100% cotton towel.

The car was designed to be driven in heavy down pours at speed so as long as you aren’t standing there with the nozzle pointed down the intake you’ll be alright.

Also, no high pressure on the paint. Just asking for problems. All it takes is a small chip in the paint and the water to get underneath it and you are now stripping paint. I just use a foam gun on a water hose and then a regular nozzle after that.

I agree with your first statement 100 %

And for the second one it kinda contradicts the first statement. I understand the paint chipping aspect of what you are saying and agree with, but how is driving 65 mph or faster, in the rain any different? In the rain its not just water hitting the paint there are so many contaminants hitting it too and probably harder than the pressure washer.

That said I have taken my 2010 Challenger thru many a touchless car wash with no ill effects to the paint to date...hope I didnt just jinx myself :D

Because the avg pressure washer is 1000+psi....that's exponentially stronger than highway wind and rain. Aside from the fact that the pressure is concentrated rather than spread across the entire surface of the car.

Yeah my pressure washer is 2800psi..BUT....with the delecate tip on, the water feels soft like a pillow coming out. I have literally had my wife spray me with it and it felt oddly soft. Now flip that to being stuck in the rain on a motorcycle with a half helmet. That crap hurts. Id take the pressure washer WITH THE RIGHT NOZZLE anyday.
