I have a kenwood head unit on my 2007 charger. My question is where to i wire my reverse wire at. Its coming from the back of the head unit and i know i need it fir my back uo camera. No idea where to wire it tho. Any information helps! TIA!
On the pioneer I installed in my kids car the caera got it's power feed from the reverse bulb, it was then connected to the head unit with an RCA cable, when the camera turned on the head unit sees the signal and goes to camera mode, camera power off, back to normal radio
No power feed wire was needed on the head unit itself
There is a connector above the glove box which has a reverse signal wire that can be run to the head unit. I used that wire for my install. If you search, you should be able to find the post. I think it was posted by user Hemiwagn a long time ago.
To close this. I ran my reverse wire to the same power source as my camera. The reverse wire is required so that when the car is put into reverse the radio knows to switch to the camera. I ran the power and reverse wire to the reverse light and now have a working camera. Now to adjust the camera.
