I was thanking about buying a 6.1 or 6.4 intake manifolds for my charger. I'm looking at the prices and it looks like i can get this edelbrock for just about the same price as a 6.1's. Does anyone have any info about witch manifold i should go with?

There’s not much feedback and those who eluded to testing claim the Edlebrock does not surpass the 6.1 manifold.

Yes, anyone claiming 25-30HP from any intake setup that utilizes the spacers is bullsh!t. Same with fastman, or any other machined 80mm throttle body. What's really a joke, is how they "measure" an apparent 84-85mm increase...from the floor on one side of the butterfly to the roof on the other side. Pretty sad - just to create a bogus measurement :^D

Jay green is who recommend fastman. It's says on one of those throttle body's they use.
Has a different butterfly that is bigger and they take one side of the bare that holds the butterfly for a addition of 4mm.
They say 6.4 intake will bolt right up to the eagle heads without the adapter plat. So I'll just switch everything at the same time.
With a cam and long tube header.
I picked up a 6.4 intake with injectors and everything for two hundred.
Im going use it maybe I'll get some torque out of it.
I also have a complete 5.7 that was smoking like freight train because that valve problems they all have.
I pulled the heads off pistons fine and it wasn't knocking or anything.
Im going to get a stroker kit for it and drop it off at a machine shop maybe bore it and some forged pistons.
I'm might just put everything on that motor and just put it back in the car.
Hemissary what kind of hotrod do you have?

Exactly, I'm pointing out he may need spacers anyways to raise the manifold to clear the block. That's the situation I'm in now. Maybe the 6.1 intake is tall enough, I don't know for sure
Apologies, yes, depending on block in-use may require simple (straight through) spacers that raise the manifold to clear the front water jacket. The Eagle cylinder heads are taller (port-wise); what I'm not sure of is if the intake manifold now sits high enough to clear the (forward) water jacket.

Are these spacers square flange to flange planes? How thick are they?

I've been researching this like crazy the last few days. The only ones I can find are modern muscle, and they are $280, that's just crazy. I think they may be 1/2" but they didn't really list that. I'm gonna order some aluminum flat stock and mill my own. It really doesn't look that hard, shouldn't take much to mark some lines and drill some holes. Time consuming maybe but $280 is just ridiculous

Yes, if memory serves 0.50".

Very low volume parts, therefore high cost to produce. Likely made to order as well. If you have any fabrication skills you can produce a set for the cost of a 20" x 10" x 0.50" sheet of 6061. The easiest route is to simply make a template of the cylinder head flange. better yet, buy two sets of 6.1 gaskets and use one as the template to trace (need them anyways). Then use a jigsaw, band saw, drill to cut / shape. Shouldn't take you more than a day to fashion a pair.

You gotta ask yourself though...is it worth it. I'd broadcast in the For Sale (WTB) section first for a used set...

I've had a post up looking for a set for a few days now. That's the thread we had the discussion on the intakes about yesterday lol and yes I have some fairly decent fab skills and more importantly a lot of determination
I have some for the pre eagle block to eagle intake. Idk if u can just square them up for ur application.
