Affordable solution for OEM HID headlights for Chargers!

Second post now updated with how-to info.

First off thanks to Porkchop for attempting this project along with me. I know a lot of the Charger crowd has been looking for an affordable way to have the OEM HID projector headlights. Well it seems it has been found!!! I have an 06 and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the wiring was changed in 08 (they first year they had HID headlights) so it's going to take a little bit of custom wiring for pre 08 Chargers but nothing too difficult. So far I've invested only about $270 (not including the HID kit I already owned) and I believe I have everything to make this happen. More to come soon.....

What are your questions? Me and the OP were the first ones to do this.

I have these on my 07, but with D1s bulbs and ballast. If you have a specific question I might be able to help.

HID headache

Sorry to butt in here, but this seems to be the only thread with 06-10 charger hid's that's still active. I've used HID's for years, but always have had pretty cheap junky ones. Finally decided to upgrade to OEM and can't get them to function. Lights work fine when the car is off, but when the engine starts, they go out. I've tried wire harness, error canceler, and combinations of both to no luck. Once I got the lights to work while the engine was on and everything looked solid, but half an hour later it wasn't working again. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Rauko

I got this HID D2S Kit from Diode Dynamic's... I can't get them to power on. I guess I need to bench test them some how, but I was under the impression from Diode Dynamics._________ This would be a Plug & Play set up. I've E-mailed, DM and even called DD and can't get much help. Even tried to meet them at SEMA. No luck._____________One end as the 9006 Plug for the OEM wiring. _____ Ballast kit = HYLUX D2 Ballast | Diode Dynamics & Bulbs = CNLight Replacement D2S HID Bulbs (pair) - HID Bulbs - HID | Diode Dynamics
