Dodge is being slow building my Widebody Scat Pack

Only wanted the Plum Crazy or I would have just bought one from the lot...
But anyways
Placed my order on March 20th, got my VIN on April 16th but they still haven't started my build yet (called them today). I know the Brampton plant was closed for a week in early April, but come on already..
How long did other people's orders take once you had a VIN?

Thank you in advance

Two weeks, Brampton was shut down first two weeks of April. Then closed again last Friday thru today for Easter holiday, they open back up tomorrow. So it's really been 14 work days since you've ordered your car. Since it's a Widebody and must go the Upfitter after it leaves Brampton, I wouldn't get in a hurry, you're probably looking at another 6 to 8 weeks to go. With the shutdown, there's probably a backlog to get built and then in and out of the Upfitter, maybe you could get your car in a month but that's pushing it imho.

The two Challengers I ordered both took 35 days order to delivery but didn't have the shutdown or Upfitter to deal with so just hard to predict now, hope its soon for you.

At least you're not waiting for an allocation. You got a VIN! Enjoy the wait.
Time will seem to creep ever so slowly.
If ever you thought there weren't enough hours in a day, now is your chance to get things done.

I saw two different articles about Brampton being shutdown. One said it was only the first week of April "1st-8th" (with an actual news broadcast saying) and the other one said it was two weeks but I read everywhere else that the two week shutdown was at the Windsor plant so wasn't sure what was going on there. I also saw the schedule for the plant and it had them working this past Saturday and Sunday (don't know why they'd make em go in the two days though)

Ugh. I've been without a car now for almost 2 months after my SS was totaled [emoji24][emoji24] really hope it's closer to a month time frame 🤞
Cause the dealership told me 6-8 weeks when I ordered it (granted they didn't know of the shutdown)
I keep pulling the build sheet/window sticker pages to see if it's even in build yet or if it's finished 🤣[emoji23]

The 6-8 weeks is the standard dealer answer for all cars and imho shows they don't know that Widebodies go to the Upfitter which will normally add 2 to 3 weeks to the build. Things will get rolling and hopefully back up to speed, there was a Redeye that was built order to delivery in 6 weeks but that's pretty rare, maybe yours can be close to that quick.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait, the Widebody is just incredible.

Take your time when it gets in and go over it really well. No rain and not at night, clear day sunshine only as you only get one chance to do this, once you sign for it it's yours so make sure its right first.

Ya gotta be patient. It's worth it. My (ordered) Scat Pack took 2 months, from order date to delivery at the dealer. It was built during the summer, with no delays. My (ordered) Red Eye took 4 months! Was built during the winter, with delays for Thanksgiving and Christmas shut down. Took forever, but I still prefer to order a vehicle just the way I want it. I had a regular R/T that had an automatic and sun roof that I had to pay for, when I don't like sun roofs and I really wanted a 6 speed. Let the wife talk me into buying the car off the showroom floor. Never again unless it's just what we want.

Still in D1 status and it's been there for a while they said, but the VIN isn't in their main system yet so they can't see anything besides the D1 stat...

I so wanted a redeye but don't want payments as is and only have 40k to put down on the pack so... I'll take the 10k loan I guess and settle for no supercharger [emoji23]🤣 but being my daily the SP is more practical

Congrats on your order! I'm sure the wait seems like forever, and I'm about to find out. I ordered a SP WB in Plum Crazy yesterday! Dealer told me 10-12 weeks. News I saw, I think on allpar, said Challenger/Charger/300 production would shut down for 2 weeks this month.
Wanted a HC WB...if I had 40K I would've done it but it'll be more like 12-15K down. The WB will be a nice jump from my present SP, so I'm happy. Agree with the practicality of the SP for daily driving.

Keep us posted PrincessJasmyn!

You all hang in there! [emoji16]

The shutdown for April is over so they should be cranking them out.

Guy also has a WB on order, he went D1 during the 2 week shutdown and is now already JB (at the Upfitter) so things are moving! [emoji106]

I placed an order on 3-25-19 and received a VIN on 3-27-19. It sat in D1 status until 4-15-19 due to the Brampton plant shutdown. Checked last Tuesday and the car went KZ status on 4-18-19. Should receive an update from the salesman later this week when I bug him

Normal time frame from order to delivery probably averages about 5 weeks. Counting the days the plant was closed yours is a bit quicker but obviously not a Widebody or a car needing to go the Upfitter. But this build shows how cars are not built in VIN order, this car ordered after the other and probably having a higher VIN is being built first. Many reasons go into this for scheduling such as options and parts availability and sometimes the stars just line up.

Thank you everyone who chimed in. Any one know if this site actually produces the build sheets after the car hits paint/inspection or do these generate after they ship?https://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=(Vin number goes in after vin=)https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=Sent from my SM-G965U using Scat Pack Forums mobile app
PrincessJasmyn, that website works but only when the VIN is valid which is 48 hours after it reaches KZ status

Jefferson North is a yard where they have stored cars coming out of the Upfitter prior to shipping so this sounds ok and your probably looking at the 21st estimated arrival to your dealer. Not bad if it works out. [emoji106]

Update... KZ status 5/6 and an ETA to Vegas of 5/23 [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16] still no window sticker available but I've read a few different people say theirs took forever to show up..Sent from my SM-G965U using Scat Pack Forums mobile app
That's pretty weird. 24 hours after it goes KZ status you should be able to produce the build sheet. 48 hours after it goes KZ you should've been able to see the window sticker ..
