Wondering if there is some sort of reset procedure for the vehicle function where at key off, the seat and steering wheel move back and up respectively?
At key on, they return to memory preset positioning.
This feature has suddenly stopped functioning even though the feature is turned on through the EVIC. I've tried disconnecting battery without success.
The memory seat positioning 1 & 2 works.
Thanks in advance.
Edit - found the post below but that requires a StarScan....anyone know of a reset or "non-dealer intervention required" procedure?
from online database: If at any time the manual buttons for seat steering or pedals are depressed to change the seat or steering positions the easy exit feature component will be disabled. In order for the easy exit feature to work again you must use the memory set buttons on the door to synchronize the system again.
The seat in my 05 stopped working last night. I went through the personal setting and turn the easy exit off and then back on and made sure I was in memory preset 1. It's working again but it could've been a fluke.
It's a neat option but I turned it off on my car after the first few weeks, for fear of the seat and column motors wearing out prematurely. I guess I'm paranoid like that.

I believe that I recall reading that to reset it you run the seat all the way back and hold the button for a couple of seconds, then all the way forward and hold for a couple of seconds. Not sure - but worth a try!
This is weird. My memory set up stopped working last week as well. I'm going to the garage to see if this works.
Edit: RDT, you da man!!! It worked!
Procedure used.
Ignition On
EVIC seat movement to OFF
Ignition OFF then back ON
Seats to forward and rear limits for 5 seconds each.
Return to usual position.
Set EVIC to move seats at exit.
Set profile "S" than "1".
Key OFF and everything moved. Seats, pedals and steering wheel.
I don't know if all of the above is required but it worked anyway.
When I first set up easy exit seat, I thought hey what a great feature. Then I realized with the seat all the way back, getting into the car, reaching to close the door seems like it's a million miles away. Made me feel like I was about 4' tall. So I turned it off..
