Like the title says, is it time to have "At the Track" have 2 sub forums - One for drag Racing and one for Road Course?

General posts could still stay under "At the Track".

As a road course guy, I, for one would really like to see all the road racing / lapping stuff together in one place.

What do you think?

I agree, not a drag racer here, only a spectator. Road racing does it for me. Separate sub forums is the way to go. Thanks for posting up NR!!

maybe the "road course" section could be "road course/autocross" just to include the affordable racing. the same mods and topics apply to both racing types.

Will you allow me to be involved? My 2004 build 300C is my daily but my track toy is a SRT-6. Sort of a Chrysler. I pass Mustangs all the time!

To help bump this thread, I'll ask a question:

We have an annual event in MN called Powercruise. It's an absolute blast, and has made me think I'd like to pick up some goodies to help make future Powercruise and also autocross/track days more fun.

I've done the 1/4 thing, and it just didn't excite me like driving through corners does.

I'm driving a 2013 Charger R/T that's pretty much stock (LMI Hammer, but that's it). I've got a set of Challenger SRT wheels for my summer driving needs, but I'd really like to find something more track dedicated, so I'm not eating through my summer tires in a day.

I was thinking a track wheel/tire combo would be a good starting point. I think I remember hearing that Mustang wheels from the early 2000's would work. If that's the case, would these work for wheels?

Run 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the back?

What other mods would be suggested for getting my feet wet?

WhiteZeOpsGuruguy- Here's a little light reading for you, in case you haven't seen it already. :thumbs_u:

Borbet wheels with Grand-Am take-off slicks are the "best" way to go. I used my stock rims with high-performance summer tires (not the real expensive ones!) :)
