Great job, way to represent. Interesting to see a 71 240Z still competitive

I'm going to guess that 240Z is "not stock". ;)

Today didn't go very well. To start with my tires were shot before the race started I found 1 that was starting to cord I I started yesterday $500 worth of scrubs and 2 of em were like new I could still see the casting seam in the center. I figured all 4 would be corded by the end of the race.

Today was a FOR FUN RACE. We drew our starting position out of a hat. I drew the 24 spot. Also at some point they would stop the race, jumble up all the cars and then do a standing restart. I ended up on the pole position for the restart . The race didn't last long for me after that. As soon as the race restarted . I was sliding allover the place. The tires were gone. I ended up losing a couple of spots. Then I had some kind of failure in the clutch. I missed a shift going down the back straight. When I tried to gear down. My clutch pedal was hard. I had the car out of gear and had to pull off to the side. I was able to get it into 2nd right before I came to a stop. At that point I just limped it on to pit row. It was race over for me.

I will have the video up later tonight.

There were a number of cars that didn't get a clean lap. If you watch the video that viper smokes me on the back straight.

I got take a look at the car today. It appears that one of the clutch disks has delaminated. I found a nest of fibers and some rivets laying in the bottom of the bell housing. So if anyone has a stock like new clutch assy cheap I need one to keep on racing.

I finally took out the clutch and here is what I found, It also Busted a hole the size of a silver dollar the bell housing
