It's past time for some wheels and track rubber. you would have smoked any car I saw there except the Zo6.

Nice vid as always. Next time I want to see you pass that Mostang! A front camber solution is obligatory now. Your throwing away rubber that should last a lot longer. If you continue to race the added wear on the street will never be an issue with -2 of camber on the front.

Yep. Slicks on wide 18's . . . Time to look for them.

Still leaves the problem of needing more neg. camber on the front - I guess it's also time for some aftermarket upper control arms.

Just ordered 2 SPC adjustable upper control arms for up to -2 degrees camber. Will also adjust castor.

SPC listed them at $315.00 each; found the same part at Jegs for $167.00 each (universal left and right).

Hopefully, this will give me a full contact patch in the corners and even out tire wear.

Are those control arms required to get -1.5 to -2 degrees camber?????

(I corded a set of slicks along the outer edge quick and need to change camber as well)

Nice vid. What are your mods? I'd love to track my car... what type of mods should I be looking to get for this type of racing?

I started last year. You need to worry about brakes.....and nothing else to get started.

Get dedicated OEM rotors and good pads (carbotech XP 12 front, XP 10 rear highly recommended). Soon you'll need to make brake cooling ducts and hard brake lines. As you get faster you'll eventually stress the power steering pump and need to install a cooler for it (I did the 3 "frankencooler"s listed at the top of this section). Track wheels/tires will come next and shouldn't come any sooner.....street tires give newbies more feedback and keep you out of trouble while learning.

Will do, Pete! :)

Yep. The OEM arms have very little adjustment range. This way, you can get the necessary camber for the race track. And if your ride is lowered, you need them as well
