I WON I WON I WON............ I want to thank Paul at RazorsEdge and Aric and Ryan at Injected engineering for their support
I started in the 4th position and made my way to 2nd by the 2nd lap and 2 laps later overtook the leader. Then led the race for the rest of the 40 min. race.
I started today intending only make around 7 laps then quit since one of my tires was corded but a quick rain storm came across one end of the track cooled my tires enough to finish the race.

The car still has a major weight problem. I crossed the scales after the race Saturday the car weighed 3,848 lbs 300 to 500 lbs heavier than all the rest of the cars in class.
If it wasn't for the wet and dry conditions on the track throughout the whole race Sunday my tires would have never made it to the end
when I did come off there were several chunked out and corded places on all of em.

fantastic job on the win. Huge victory considering the starting point (heavy platform). You can seriously drive that car!

joelvan

Geezus! What kind of slicks are you running? I was running some left over slicks I had Hoosier R100s on front and Yokahama advans on rear
we are required to run DOT slicks or Toyo R1As in American Iron I had ordered some Hoosier R6s to race on but the tire truck broke down on the way to the track. They let me run the slicks. The second place winner said after the race he could protest my win. Then he said he didnot want to take my first win away from me. he did not think the tires that I had really gave me an unfair advantage.

I was wondering how things were going with the Challenger. Great result! You got the ABS working right? (I read the Road Atlanta comments somewhere) Are you running the same tire widths as the rest of the competition? With all that weight ....... well, you know. It's great to see a new car in the mix in AI.
