I'm really interested in learning how much different your CHRYSLER 300'S are different from California's. For instances ,Do you have like us the BASE MODEL,TOURING ,LIMITED,C,SRT8?I mean I hear things like you guy's don't have a touring like over here, someone told me that they look like a magnum with the 300c front end.Is this true? Some people say that you guy,s have a CHRYSLER TOURING 3.5L that comes with the C front end,and wood grain steering wheel and accessories ?Things like this I would like to know straight from you guys ,so then I can relate the truth how it is if asked.I have so many questions on many things and the differences between model"s,and I know many people do too.So please chime in and teach a California forum member some Knowledge ! :not_worth

A Chrysler 300 Touring over here is a 300 Wagon, AKA Magnum with 300 front end. Most of the 300's here are diesel except for the SRT8's which are few and far between...if you want to know all the specs for the european models visit www.chrysler.co.uk (http://www.chrysler.co.uk)

On the site it shows the touring with the magnum body,it also shows the v6 with a 3.0L that's refereed to as 3.0L v6 CRD SE.......thee other is 3.0L v6 CRD SRT. So there is no BASE MODEL,OR LIMITED, and they only come in a 3.0L ,not a 2.7L, or 3.5L.Is this correct? I only saw the 6.1L srt8,and no 5.7L . I noticed that the CHRYSLER'S that have 3.0L have C badges on them ,but there not a 5.7L or 6.1L is that how they come ?

Overseas a Touring IS a wagon.

The 3.0 is a diesel which is more popular( politicly correct) than a petrol engine.

If you want performance you get one choice a srt.

Have they ever made a 3.5L V6 300C RHD that wasn't a 300C front end on a wagon? And if they did ,did they ever badge it up as a C ?Because over here they would Badge a 2.7L BASE with a 300 symbol,a 3.5L TOURING with a 300 touring badge ,a LIMITED with a 300 limited badge ,the hemi with the C badge ,and finally the 6.1L with the SRT8 badge.

I was in Shanghai, China last month and the only LX's I saw were several black 300C's with one exhaust pipe (6cyl?). Some were parked, and some were too far away to hear or smell if they were deisel.
I read somewhere that the European 300's are assembled at a factory in Austria that puts cars together for several different companies.

2008 Chrysler 300 Touring

The 300 is also sold in Europe (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Europe) and Australia (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Australia) as both a sedan and a station wagon (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Station_wagon). The station wagon, sold in Europe as the 300C Touring (not to be confused with the North American sedan's "Touring" trim level), shares much of its sheet metal with the Dodge Magnum (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Dodge_Magnum). The 300 Touring differs from the Magnum in that its exterior styling and interior are that of the 300 instead of the less-luxurious Magnum. All 300 Touring models, along with European 300C models and right-hand drive models, are built by Magna Steyr (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Magna_Steyr) in Graz (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Graz), Austria (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Austria).
[edit (http://www.lxforums.com/w/index.php?title=Chrysler_300&action=edit&section=12)] Diesel

In Europe and Australia, the 300C is available with a 3.0 L diesel (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Diesel_engine) V6 engine (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/V6_engine) (internal code OM642 (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_OM642_engine)) developed by Mercedes-Benz (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/Mercedes-Benz). It produces218 hp (163 kW) and 376 ftlb (510 Nm) of torque and will be soon available with NOx BlueTec (http://www.lxforums.com/wiki/BlueTec) technology

Is it true that it is not permitted to bring those vehicle's to the US?If this is true is it because the vehicle is in Km not miles.Or what reasons why?Or am I wrong ,can you bring one,or is there a way to bring one?How about if there is one in the United States already ?

hello,

some pcs from my first post here. 300c Touring AWD 5.7l in France.
not correct for mentality in France than prefer diesel. I don't like car with black smoke when accelerating. But I'm a little alone in my region... lot of diesel... 300c is rare, 300c V8 is very rare.

Here is a link to ads for 300Cs for sale in Sweden. Translated with Google.

http://tinyurl.com/36pzfeh

As you can see even the 2.7s are labeled as 300C.

As for prices $1 is about SEK 7.5 the prices in the ads are including sales tax.

In the UK when the 300 was first available we had the following models available:

3.0 V6 Diesel

3.5 V6 Petrol

5.7 V8 Hemi

6.1 SRT8

All models in the UK were classed as 300C but there were two trim upgrade levels available extra on all but the SRT8 and all available as saloon (sedan) or touring (station wagon)

You could have the Drivers Pack (1,800) which added sat nav and 6 disc cd radio or the Luxury Pack (2,600) which added the upgraded Boston Acoustic sound system, sat nav, 6 disc cd radio, sunroof and Californian wood trim.

Things like Xenon headlamps, auto wipers, heated power folding mirrors, 8 way electric front heated seats, cruise control, TPMS, climate control, front fogs and leather seats were standard across the range.

In late 2006/early 2007 Chrysler UK dropped the 3.5 V6 and 5.7 V8 from the range and as from this year the models are available as per the current website.

Just as an example, in April 2006 a 3.0 CRD saloon was 25,775 on the road and the SRT8 saloon was 39,040 on the road.

On our models we didn't get auto headlamps (although it was very easy to modify the switch to get them!) and we didn't get power pedals. We did however get electrically folding mirrors!

Hope that answers some of your questions?

By the way, diesel and petrol (gas) are roughly the same price in the UK, about 5.40 ($8.30) a gallon (UK gallon, 4.546 litres). The diesel 300C averages about 35 MPG, my SRT8 between 21MPG and 30MPG.
