If memory serves, I don't believe the transfer tube running across the top on the OEM RT fuel rail system offers enough clearance over the aluminum manifold. There should be plenty of folks around willing to give away theirs.

But what about the 6.4 SRV manifold?

6.4 Intake hits the back of the "widow's peak" on the 03-08 5.7 and the 6.1 block. the Eagle 5.7 and 6.2/6.4 blocks have a recess there at the top of the peak to clear the front of the manifold.I have to check it again but you'll need a .040 thick head gasket to have enough clearance for the 6.1 heads, the .030ish 5.7 gasket won't give you enough Piston to head clearance.

    Update

Ended up at 11:1 compression with the 6.1 heads and stock 5.7 head gasket. No issues, no knock retard, motor loves it.

so what combo did you end up going with? 6.1 heads, 6.4intake and your 5.7 block? Any other work you did. I'm very interested in this.

I ended up using a 6.1 intake, but the full build was:

    5.7 hemi, stock
    6.1.heads, stock, milled 0.003"
6.1 manifold, stock w/stock rails and injectors
    5.7 throttle body and intake
    Inertia Spartan Plus cam, 214/222 566/556 110LSA
    ARH long tubes, 1 3/4" w/cats
    SLP 25% underdrive pulley
MagnaFlow catback (this was previously my only horsepower mod)

    The car also got:
New 6.1 pushrods, valvesprings, lifters, timing chain+tensioner, and MDS delete plugs. It also already had a 3.06 Getrag posi.

so what's it putting down on the dyno? that sounds like a pretty fun very streetable setup.

I think you meant milled 0.030" (30 thou)

Nope, the shop only gave it a three thousandth mill to level the head surface.

    411rwhp

If you check my other threads I have a dyno graph posted! It drives very well, with good manners and lots of low end torque to get moving. The last thing I wanted was a dyno queen that made a big horsepower number but lost low end, fortunately the torque and horsepower increased across the board.

We had a member of another forum do 6.1 heads and intake on his truck. Running the stock cam he only showed about 270 wheel hp. Not sure if it was any dyno day errors or what, but man I think the stock cam killed him. He has since put a comp 273 in, I’ll have to look back and see if he did an updated dyno pull

A pickup is probably not the right application for huge cfm heads on a stock itty-bitty cam.

Is this required to run the 5.7 stock gaskets with 6.1 heads? Now I'm confused lol.

No, that was just to make sure the head surface was true and flat.
