My 300 SRT 2013 at around 60K and 1500 revs I lose all acceleration if going up a hill .I can press the pedal to the floor and nothing happens until suddenly it kicks in and takes off . Anyone having the same problem or have a fix?

Does the engine still rev when you press the accelerator or is there no response at all?

No response from the accelerator, but if I change down a gear it takes off and accelerator works again.
I'll check hill start setting, I think it's OFF.
Thanks
Hill start was on, I'll take it for a drive.

Sorry for the delay been busy, lose all acceleration up a hill seems to disappear if set in sports mode, next I will try switching off the MDS.
I have some developing insight on this... Mine does the same thing sometimes - mainly on the expressway when I hit a steep-ish incline. It also does it with the cruise control on, when the car hits a hill it starts to slow down like it is having trouble maintaining speed with light throttle until it finally jams down a gear as if I floored it. The added fun bonus is the car occasionally throws P0741 for the torque converter lockup when this happens. Goes away immediately, and only throws the code in this specific situation. I did some Googling and this seems to be a glitchy/buggy problem that other people have experienced as well. I have not found a solution yet, have replaced the TC solenoid, changed fluid, etc but it seems to be a trans programming glitchy issue.
PS at least one of the other threads I found did indeed say as well that Sport mode makes it not happen, which is also confirmed here. The different programming like the modified TC lockup programming or the faster shift points or something in sport mode must correct the issue

A Tazer maybe the way to go until someone works out a fix, just stick it into sports mode at startup. BTW MDS off did not fix the problem.
Mine (2013 300C) did that for a couple of years. i had to punch the pedal to the floor to get it to jump back into acceleration whenever going up an incline getting on the highway. it also would hesitate when cold start everyday for a few stop signs and traffic lights until it warmed up about a mile or so.I took it to the dealer. right away they determined it needed a new tranny. replaced under maxcare warranty.

Did the dealer say what was wrong with the tranny?
