I ask that record holders please post in this thread all the info needed so I don't have to go looking around (image links etc.)...I will reserve the next few posts for images etc.

Rules:
1)No ringers...must drive own car when record set. Go to Drag strip and try to set a record based on restrictions below. Simple, right??

Factory - Factory, Drop in Filters
Super Stock - CAI, Exhaust mods, PCM programming, Torque converter, Rear Gears, Throttle Body
Modified - All mods allowed in "Super Stock" plus heads and cams
Power Adder - All mods from Factory, SuperStock and modified classes plus/ OR any power adder, including nitrous, turbo, &/or supercharger.
BIG D - CI other than 5.7 and/or 6.1 - Any SIZE STROKER Falls into this category "Big Displacement" and "Big Displacement w/Power Adder" classes.

Unlimited - NO RESTRICTIONS AT ALL. QUICKEST LX & LC

** No restrictions on Weight, Drag Radials, T-stat, Aero
*** If a single Mod places the car in one class/sub-class, that is the class the car competes in.
**** A video of the run with time in it or image of timeslip for proof…MUST BE POSTED IN THIS THREAD ALONG WITH MODS

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but let me see if I understand the chart when it comes to unlimited.

Am I too understand that the "unlimited" record holder is simply going to be the fastest of any of the other classes or is it in fact a separate class? If a separate class, how is it distinguished from the other classes?

I have a feeling I am a BD P/A (6.1 based stroker with nitrous). If I get lucky and break NorCalSrt's record tomorrow night, I intend to create a trophy for that class.
Would I put "LX BD P/A Record Holder" on the trophy? Will there be a separate trophy for "Unlimited," or am I misunderstanding something (it looks like the "unlimited title will probably end up being dominated by the BD P/A class unless XCITsNU knows something about physics most of us have overlooked).

I'd love to get educated on this.

Lou I chewed on what you said and came to the conclusion that the Unlimited class is redundant at this point ...so consider it gone upon the next update.

About the trophies...what say about a special image that the record holder gets to put as a sig pic...would save a ton of postage and would be there for all to see...what say yee??

I think that's an excellent idea. It might not surpress my inclination to do up a nice trophy for the BD P/A class, but I don't think the two approaches are at all incompatible. I am of course counting my chickens before they hatch, because if I don't rip a good one tomorrow night for whatever reason, I'm just going to be observing this thing from lower down on the podium! I think the whole thing is a cool idea though--it's got my blood up (which is neat for an old geezer).

I like that idea........the trophy's would be cool but what a PITA......especially since it will be going back and forth alot.
