Road & Track Comparison With 300 V6

Road & Track selected the 300 V6 number 4 in their June issue, and the CTS V6 (the optional, not base V6) as number one.

They really blundered this time. I doubt that many people go shopping for a car thinking first about the engine. Rather, people think first about the size and type of vehicle they need, the price, and the performance characteristics they desire (ride, handling, power, braking, cornering, towing, and so forth).

Price is probably the greatest constraint for most buyers, so it makes sense to GROUP cars first by price, then by the other criteria. The 300 V6 should have been grouped with the Camry V6, Accord V6, Altima V6, and so forth. Given the price, the 300C should have been used in the Road & Track comparison.

The question Road & Track apparently never asked is: Would someone really buy a CTS V6 over a 300 V6 without considering the 300C HEMI?

300 Came in 4th...Still it beat a good number of higher priced cars, like: Volvo S80 T6, BMW 530i, and Audi A6 3.0 Quattro...Pretty good if you ask me...

If only they did one with the C.
