Availability of 300C’s Very limited.

4000+ orders since the 22nd!

The dealer I got my 300C FROM called to CHECK up on the car and to congratulate me on getting their last 300C for a while. He said that Chrysler has over 4000 orders
Just since Apr 22nd. And that Chrysler is nervous; can they fill them in a reasonable amount of time? Can the Mexican Engine plant keep the pipe line full of Hemi’s ?
Problems every manufacture wants to have!
So if you find one on the lot, deal and pull the trigger quick!

Cheers
Happy owner of a Jade 300C!

That is great for Chrysler, but I fear the volume will DROP signifigantly after the inital rush of "gotta have the newest thing". :(

I'm still torqued that Chrysler is doing absolutley zero promotion of the car in local media. I have yet to see a commercial or hear a radio ad, and to date I have seen one billboard. The critics love the car yes, and I love it, but what good does it do if it is invisible in the general public's eyes?

The success of Chrysler in the near future rests heavily on this car, and they are doing jack squat to help it along.

Very True...I'm calling my dealer tomorrow to see what's up with my car. They seem to have 'lost" it...This the next big thing, these are the cars to watch.

Air Play

The car is getting lots of air play here on the west coast! I’ve seen 3 Different commercials for the 300’s.(played lots this weekend) A huge billboard at SF train station that you can’t help but see if you are going to work or to a ball game.
But they just might throttle the advertising some if they are HAVING a problem supplying the dealers with cars.

Cheers

I'm sure they planned on beign able to make many more then 4000! Also this is an early 2005 so they actually have and extra 3-4 months to get out the 2005 model year orders. I'm sure they will continue taking orders right up until about this time next year. Chrysler is not Honda, they won't hold back production to create an appearance of demand. They add shifts and put out cars, everybody that wants one will be able to get one, and at $300 over dealer cost with incentives no less!

My 300C was born on April 22nd and is awaiting delivery. I ordered on March 8th so I figure it will be 2 1/2 months FROM ORDER to delivery. Given that they make only about 375 300's a day and of that about 35-40% are Hemi's you have to figure that the waiting list (and thus waiting period) is expanding at a huge rate. Watch prices on these nasty boys rise to 5 to 10K above MSRP for those who can't wait.

DISCOUNTED CHRYSLER 300'S!

I track www.autotrader.com almost daily to see the listing of new 300's. I have recorded these number of cars within a 300 mile radius of Wash DC.

Apr 20 - 187
Apr 21 - 206
Apr 23 - 231
Apr 26 - 257
Apr 27 - 290

If you SELECT "Any Distance" the max will always be 500 cars.

There are only a few listed that appear to be "Marked Up" over MSRP. I have seen listings with up to $2700 discounts. I would print the discounted listing off and take to my dealer for negotiations regardless of where the car is.

Yes, orders are taken through June (so my dealer tells me).

I think he means June of next year! There is no way they will cut off orders for a 2005 300 in June of 2004!

There will be plenty to go around, never pay more then $500 over invoice for ANY car. There are lots of people out there that think ahead and get even the most sought after, rare cars for $500 over invoice or less. Maybe the exception would be Farrari, but anything FROM DC is fair game. This car to the dealer is just a Concord or 300M, but given the choice of a sale or no-sale they would sell a Prowler or Viper for $500 over invoice, if they don't take the deal somebody else will. Chrysler builds cars to ORDER too, and adds shifts and production to meet demands. There are very few 1 of 5000 type cars at Dodge, they end up being 1 of 5456 because they filled every ORDER they received. Sure if you go in the last month of Prowler production and want a car for $500 over invoice you are probably out of luck, but had you though ahead, and let your intelligence overcome your emotion, you could have had one for $500 over invoice (if not less).

What the dealer means is (I think): The earliest you might get your car (if ordered now) is June. In other words, the cars that are being made now are all "sold" orders (I almost start crying when I talk about this :P) until June, but as we know, that wait keeps growing each day as more and more orders are placed.

As I said in another post, there are only two C's in the greater Birmingham, AL area, and, as far as I know, they arrived just in time for Premiere Night. Dealer said everyone in the area is only getting four 300's total for a while, next shipment should land in about a week and a half. Standard mark-up on all 300's here is about $2500. Think it's just cause 'Bama is so far FROM Brampton? :P

Should of been" 4000+ orders in 3 days"

When I posted the 1st message, the point was that the volume of orders was 4000+ cars in the three days! or aprox.1333 per day.
If the plant can make 375 cars a day and 30-40% are C(Hemi) cars, you can understand how many short they are each day!
Hence the back log. Granted I don’t think they(Chrysler) can sustain 1333 orders per day
For long… (But then ….

Cheers,

J
