First speeding ticket in a 300C?

Well, not quite. Could have been though If the sales person riding with me hadn't told me to back off when I hit the bottom of the entrance ramp at 110mph. She spotted a state trooper up ahead and fortunately there was enough traffic around that he couldn't get a lock on me with his radar gun. I got a call FROM the salesman that I ordered my 300 Limited FROM on Friday that they just got a 300C in today and would I like to come in and take it for a test drive. Like, are you kidding me? I'M THERE MAN! Had to wait in line for a couple other people (and I hate lines) but it was worth it. My salesman couldn't ride with me because he had a customer come in right when my turn came so he sent a new sales person out with me for her first ride in it. I'm sure it was a test drive she'll never forget. I pulled out of the dealership parking lot and stepped on it right away. It sat us back in our seats really well. It's got more on the low end than I was expecting, especially FROM about 10mph to 40mph. I got on the freeway on a circular ramp and accelerated pretty heavily through the turn (this wasn't the ramp where I hit 110; that was on the way back) I wanted to see if I could get the electronic stability control system to kick in. I'm just curious if I can feel it. Well, it didn't and it was a free way entrance this sales gal will probably never forget. It did hold well going through the turn and while I was never worried I'm sure she and my fiance were a little concerned. All in all I was very impressed with the car. It looks even better in person than it does in pictures. It had the sound GROUP 2 in it and that really blew me away. It is the best factory sound system I have ever heard in a car. The seats are very comfortable and for those long drives FROM Milwaukee to Minneapolis I do I'm sure i"ll be happy. This thing is getting to long so I better end. Can't think straight after the excitement of actually driving one.

Awesome!

Have you changed your mind and opted for the 300C or are you sticking with the Limited? How did it sound?

On my test drive I could not get it to do an aggressive kick-down acceleration.

bugleboy, you tried to get the ESP to kick-in? On the rear that system works to keep you FROM fish-tailing. Which is it - understeer or oversteer - I get them mixed up. When it kicks in it may startle you - It is very abrupt especially when you are accelerating and one wheel goes INTO complete lock up and leaves rubber on the pavement. You will wonder who put on the brakes on that one wheel.

Oversteer = fish-tailing, understeer is more often seen on FWD cars.
