What kind of exhaust is on that SRT-8 in the beginning of the video? THAT's the sound I want!!

(not to derail the thread though.)

Cool doors!

That's my SRT and I used Blastin' Bob's exhaust. You can email him at blastinbob@aol.com.

Here are vids from LSD Doors website:

On an LX you have a MUCH more substantial frame and fender so they do NOT wiggle like that once up in the air. Just an FYI.

Anyhow, thanks.

Are they just straight through or do they have anything in them. Did you keep the stock "suitcase"?

I was wondering about the door wiggle.

All we did was cut the resonators, and add his pipes. The sound is awe-inspiring at all levels of throttle, but when you really stomp on it it sounds like an elephant raping a gorilla.

forcibly

Anyway, you should be aware that with a setup like mine you will get drone, and I don;t know how bad it will be with MDS since I do not have MDS. I don't mind the drone (it's not that bad really), but some do have that concern.

What a burn out!

Learned two things here. Lambo doors don't quit work the way I visioned them in those videos. Two step process.

Also in that burnout video you can see why the backwindows of our Mags get so dirty. That smoke didn't even break up over the spoiler!

Yes, awesome burnout! That was just beautiful.

So the 6.1 engine DOESN'T come with MDS? Or is there a way to disengage it?

I hate the MDS so if the 6.1 doesn't have it, I'll trade next year.

Well if you buy the cheapie kits, they will swing up only without going outwards. This eliminates the ability to use them as regular doors under circumstances where going vertical is not practical.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

The 6.1 does not have MDS at all.

Thats it. I'm getting the 6.1!!

Next year though. I'd be a fool to trade only 2 months after getting the car. I'll be fine by next summer.

For now I'm cutting out those resonators!

Thanks Bandit.

I really wasn't familiar with the MDS till I bought the car. I didn't even notice it until I changed out the exhaust. I supposed at crusiing with a custom exhaust the MDS drone was in and out so often it annoyed me to death.

I quess I really do hate the system even though it saves fuel. I knew my new car wasn't gonna be the best on gas but that's not why I bought it. I'm gonna agree with another post where I wish DC would've put a button in the car to select "power" or "economy".

Maybe I'm just upset that because of MDS I lost about $400 on exhaust experiments that were so promising till the car dropped 4 of the cylinders and sounded like rice. Another $150 and I coulda bought the Flowmaster Kit that has the resonators and any MDS drone might've been negligible.

Oh well, live and learn. I will be upset if the 2007 cars have a button to turn it on or off though.

I think once I get a proper exhaust on the car that makes the sound and has the performance I want I'll probably be happy with it and keep it for awhile.

Oh, can someone tell me what the difference is in the Exhaust on our 5.7 Engines and the 5.7's on the Daytona Charger. Big difference in the two? Soundwise? I'm real interested in the "Blastin' Bob" pipes and will do this mod in the next few days if it sounds real throaty and tough with no real loss to low end torque. I'll live with the MDS drone if it kicks ass for not alot of money. My GF will MURDER me if I spend any more money and don't like what I spend it on and go spend more money to fix it.

Yes, it's been one of THOSE weeks!

(Man, this topic is derailed.)
