Just an FYI for anyone interested. There is now an in-motion hack for REC for the newest Navigation upgrade disc version AI. I can say first hand that it works great along with the map updates which were much needed for me here in Atlanta
Someone else that has AI answer this... does it seem like the searches are a little faster and the maps have more detail? Around where I live there seems to be more street names and such on the maps while I'm driving
i've noticed some of the new addition althought it would be nice to have a walmart thats been in town for 2 years to be on the map but guess i cant be too picky...
Ya the street names seem to appear a little more but i'll assume thats just with the update
and yes the colors are still the same i know i wish there was a way to change the color on these bad boys... i'm sure theres got to be some type of font color setting when applying the "in motion" maybe i'll take a look this weekend when i get bored and upload it to my comp
Searching for chain stores can be tricky. Some Walmarts are discount stores while others are department stores. The closest Wal-Mart is over 800 miles away. There are 3 Walmarts, 1 Wal Mart and a few other variations local to me. My Nav still can't find a local Home Depot. It just depends on how the local agent regestired the business.
REC is the model of navigation found in the LX's before the MyGig system came out, so up to 07 I believe. AI is just the most current version of the map disc.
If someone ends up with a stock undamaged AI disk in the case for the REC that they now don't need, I'm looking to buy one for a decent price. PM with with price, picture, and part number if it's not in the picture. (I don't want/need one with the hack)
Thanks,
Kevin

highly doubt you will find anyone willing to give up a $200 OEM copy of the newest disc out for anything less that what they paid for it... AH maybe, not AI..
