Lou Montgomery Modern Street HEMI Series
BuilderBill, FlyByU and I have elected ourselves directors of the East Coast Modern Street Hemi Shootout Championship Series with TurboBuckeye as a consultant to the board.

We will have three events this year.

We believe three events spaced roughly four months apart are appropriate this year, given the conditions many of us are dealing with.

Here are the series classes:

5.7 NA

6.1 NA

Stoker NA

Unlimited (any power adder)

Racers need to declare the class they wish to participate in as they sign up or at the track.

Any 5.7L or 6.1L based Gen III Hemi vehicle that is licensed, registered, insured and runs an OEM or modified NAG-1, five-speed automatic transmission or OEM-based six-speed manual is eligible.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Class Winner: 15 points

Class Runner Up: 10 points

Class Semi-Finalists: 5 points each

New Personal Best: 3 points

Qualifying: 1 point

Points will be tallied for all three events. The totals will be posted in the following post.

Prizes and trophies for the series winners will be provided by the series sponsors (to be announced).

Does the PB have to be run during eliminations/Qualifying or at any time during the event . IE I ran a new PB 1st run off the trailer during time trials in Bradenton does that count in the series points?

My wife ran her Personal Best in the car, but it's not the fastest the car has gone. Technically if i have her complete the series she should be eligible for more points getting a new PB?

Fine by me as long as i get some dial in passes. We are gonna work on burnouts next week and I'll be trying out some 275 Hoosiers after the axle upgrade. As long as the car wins i am plenty happy.

points... Lou in Bradenton, there were 5 cars in the 5.7 N/A class. I got bumped in the first round, so did BaadRT. I think my ET was faster than his though. I also got a PB and qualified.

So would I be a second runner up or would BaadRT?

Thanks, just trying to see if I can pull something off in this series this year.
