Does this head/cam package make sense for my requirements?

With that combo low 13's is a realistic expectation.

I will tell you I have the sidewinder w/6.1 springs and pushrods.I have 70000 miles on it now and it goes 13.42sec in 1/4.

Only one thing. I haven't read every post, so I do not know if this has been addressed.

I think that those quieter lifters you are referring to in post #1 are the non MDS replacements.

You can run 6.1 pushrods & that helps a lot, but W/an after market cam, you will here some occasional lifter noise if you retain MDS. It is not what I would call "loud". About what a sliod lifter engine would sound like.

MDS W/my combo gets about 3 MPG better fuel economy @ 75-90 MPH cruise on the interstate.

Hoping to get them installed within the next month...With these heads/cam and a good tune perhaps high 12s will be very doable!

the same combo was used by alcharger also. look at what he is doing. i make the product and sell it. you can find the rest of the combo needed to run the desired "number" online here at lxforums.

in the end, i am sure that its all the head you will need and the cam will really suprise you. with the proper tune it will make you smile. everything else you add at that point to the car will be gravy...

there is a reaason its called the little cam that could.

ahahaha...my car is a fluke lol... this combo can give you 12's.. its to many cars out there doing it . with an awd towing a trailer i cant think of a better cam for you.... you will be amazed at the power difference.

Should be able to run in the high 15s while towing my 3500lb trailer. Thats still enough to give the SXT a good run!!

OK no doubt lots of people are saying good things about the cam. Bigdave in post #19 mentioned only pulling mid 13's. I'm just saying I wouldn't get anyones hopes up of mid to low 12's with this cam or any cam period.

well big dave is cam only and and his car is 4600lbs. for the money that he has in it that thing runs well.. high 12's is very doable with this combo. im glad you like your cam and that your car is running well for you.. but this is the second forum that ive been on where you calling my car a freak a fluke ..w/e.. you need spend some time reading on here. there are alot more "freaks" out there than mine.

oh and what does your car run in the 1/4 ?

Not tuned yet 13.5 in the 1/4 with 4400+ DA. Keep in mind that it's also AWD. How the heck is his car 4600 pounds? I know AWD's are heavy but damn that's heavy.
