Which cam is this Scott??? Is this the one with your custom grind? or one just sent to you ??

The cam that is in there now was used for 1 year by another forum member. The only reason it came out was because he went with a blower cam when he bought the supercharger. WEWSRT8 had this cam working fine for a long time.

do you get an oil warning light after it stalls? I feel like this would be a pcm related problem. Since your car runs and than shuts down, that has to be the computer telling it to do so to prevent further damage.

Wonder if some of the internal parts some of the vendors use here, come from the same manufacturer. Wonder if there is a bad batch floating around specifically the rod bearings. I mean, how could an engine builder that does this on a daily basis, throw a rod bearing out? I know we don't know this is the problem just yet, but if Lisa has seen the same issue from another vendor recently, it concerns me.

this really sucks to hear Scott, i hope its something minor like tweaking the tune.

the first thing i would do is drain the oil/check the filter and move from there
if it is something like a bearing, it should be painfully obvious when you peak into the oil
i pray thats not the case, and we can eliminate it as a problem

really hope this all plays out smooth dude!

Lemme get this straight....

After it gets up to temp, it shuts down.

Wont start after that. Will it turn over (rotate) BY HAND?? yes/no??

...at this point, still at temp, you can pull a plug and it WILL turn over BY HAND. yes/no??



piston to tight and as the motor heats up the metals expand...thus creating more resistance to turning over. This extra resistance triggers the PCM to shut it down before things seize up???
