1st 12 second 5.7L

HEY Y'ALL,

I was wondering who were the first (10) 5.7L LX model cars to get in the 12 second range in the 1/4 mile?

I would like to know when and where. Time slips with dates would be cool.

THANKS

SON

HalV48 Dude,

You do not remember those dates, do you? The reason I ask is when I ran that 12.94 witch took me all night to do, I posted it that night, and alot of peole responded that like drag racing, and loved it.
That 122.03 is kick ass. Thats fast..

That was the last time I ran my car, because after that night it never really ran right.
GSmotorsports always tuned my car, and up untill then it ran great. After my engine rebuild the year after he (scott) at gs never got my car right after that. Its in South Carolina geting the TLC, and proper tuning its allwaws needed. Anyways I am just venting. It was a roller-coaster ride the 4+ years at gsm. I am glad to cut that chain.

THANKS

Sorry, I don't remember. It was winter time, and our DA was only about 2200. I had my pocket weatherstation with me. My wife threw away my timeslips.

Maybe you still have your timeslip, you could post up. Meister's was well documented and witnessed by many.

It just seems to me that Meister was on a quest to run the 1st 12 with a 5.7. There was quite a big deal on the boards about it at that time.

I was a GSM poster child. I even built my 426 for promised 1st I-Charger. I must say though, they always did right by me, other than that I'm told they put my custom built torque converter in someone elses car when mine was down, and replaced it with a Suncoast. It should have been looser with the 426, and it doesn't flash, or kick down as before.
