Yeah PW, which 6.1 intake gaskets do I use? I was looking at some bwoody's and looking for any feedkback on them and will they be a good fit with port matched heads?

Nitecop doesn't look like much now, but drinking milk does wonders
If you really want to save some funds you have to Install the parts your self AND port your heads yourself. It really is not that hard to do. I think the $1200-$2000 heads are WAY over priced.

yeah... right after the 'verter, I'm gonna try to find a set of used 5.7 heads and see how much damage *I* can inflict. Besides... I've got one of the best port/polish companies in my neighborhood to advise me!

Ok Mike here is my list.

Spartan Cam $800 with valve springs and install kit, custom push rods includes $100 base tune. Labor cost 6 cases of Cold Coors Lite 4 of which I drank. Jba shorties $300 with Mopar gaskets, labor cost 2 cases of Ice Cold Coors Lite, both which I drank. Edge Racing TC 2800 $494. plus $45 for the Amsoil ATF, Labor cost 5 cases of Ice Cold Coors lite 4 of which I drank. Mopar TCM $230, Labor cost to install 1 case of Ice Cold Coors Lite which I drank to celebrate. Zeitronix Wide Band $365, labor cost to install 1 case of Ice Cold Coors lite and yes I drank that too.

That adds up to 13 cases of Ice Cold Coors Lite to get my ride into the high 12's
Man I think I need a cold beer cause I'm thirty now!

I forgot about the UD pulley it was $180 and done at the same time as cam install.
The SRT 3.06 rear came after the 12.9 ET and I have not ran the car at the track since.
The cost lwas my labor to remove it from an 08 Challenger and install his new 3.73 Getrag and he paid for the 7 cases of Ice Cold Coors Lite of which I drank all minus the 2 cans I feed to his Dog (Liberty).

Now THAT is selfish....
So you have not hit the track yet?? Why not?? I'm eager to see some #'s. ESPECIALLY if it's heat/humidity soaked like down here. DA +1200 to 2800'

WOW, I gess I will be the bold one and say good luck, Sure any gear head can get a good set of sanding rolls from Eastwood, but there is a reason all the venders charger what they do, sure some venders charge more and some charge less, but I can tell you the profit they make off a set of heads is less than most would think.

Then to add in the fact you are paing for the experance not to over port or actuly hurt the flow of the heads. You can go in there and smoth what you think needs smothing but actuly lower flow of the heads.

We have heads that were ported buy a coustomer that we could not even use as a core becouse the importan areas where way to big.

Considering I have had several #6 diffrent combos, from stock with just a sidwinder, to my current with 392 and (I don't even know its name right know - Cam)

Im all about best bang for the buck.

My best bang would be:

Get your heads milled to rase your compresshion, while off makes installing new springs way easyer !!!! (if you can find a unused set of 6.1 exsaust springs for intake and exsaust go for it) but the pac spring is a better part.

Get a Sparrow cam, great low end and still pulls like a train.

Get a set of used SRT8 manafolds, and cats - way easyer to instll since your takeing your heads off.

Get the 3.23 from richman for your 210 rear end, instll it your self, (not need but will notice a diff on the street.

And a PT 2800 if you can afford it.

AFE Stage II, and cut out your muffler and leve resonators.

This would get you in the 12's Low buck style.

This is a killer low $$ set up, no pulleys, upgreaded injecotors, no upgradded intake maybe a 6.1 fuel rail, Im sure you could get the parts for under 2k (with out the gears) there are tons of write ups, and if you need some one to walk it throw I will give out my # vs PM.

All eles have fun

PM: It dose not mater what you do, once you get a set up like this you will have to practic and practic how to lauch with out slicks becouse this cam will move you off the line cray style, but with out slicks no combo will sine............
