12 something @110

Spent last night at New England Dragway with WitchyWndy and NHDave.Finally got some runs in with the 300.THe DA was ok @ +350,but the track prep was marginal.I got in 8 runs which was cool and got to beat up on some imports.I learned I can set my ET by the 60'
times......every run the trap speed was 110mph,and I mean every run.A 1.7 60' will get a 12.2@110,1.8 60' will get 12.4@110,1.9 60' will get a 12.6@110,2.4 60'(don't ask)will get a 13.5@ you guessed it...110.The car pulls so hard down low and just has nothing up top with the stock 5.7 intake port and intake manifold.Should see some BIG gains when the new heads and 6.1 intake go on.Atco is on Monday,maybe with some track prep I can get a 1.5 60' and an 11.8@110

Well, clearly can tell where the flow crushes top end. Glad to hear you were able to get some real passes erik. I'm guessing you and Wendy will have pasted smiles on Monday!

Thats it....if it matters it was at full weight.....which I expect to be about 4500lbs with me in it.Most don't realize this isn't the same engine combo as when Trojan ran the 11sec pass.The PPP stage 3 heads were replaced with a HOP stage 1.The stock 5.7 intake port, and the 6.1 exhaust port of the HOP head kills the top end but has a lot of torque down low.

Now I see... so thats why you're so anxious to change the top end of your motor. Any plans for a new cam?

Can't wait until Monday BTW... I'm officially in the 12's!!! Not far in, but there.... LOL 12.93 @ 106.66 with a 1.90 60'. Need to work on the 60'. Did I mention, I can't wait until Monday??????
