The SLP line lock, it doesnt work Oi!

Im not the first person that has said this but I didnt see any threads on it.

Im 99% sure all is functioning and installed correctly but Ill verify it again tomorrow. You can feel the difference in the pedal when its engaged but the car just rolls on forward, lol. I can hear the relay clicking when I engage it but I cant tell for sure if the solenoid is engaging. Since I feel a difference in the pedal, I gotta think its closing as designed.

My initial feedback on it, DOES NOT WORK.

Hope Im totally wrong when I go over everything tomorrow.

I never could figure out how it would work when it is installed on the line going INTO the ABS pump.........isn't the ABS pump supposed to modulate the brakes to keep the wheels from LOCKING UP?

I've heard this from a few people Dan - part of why I haven't bought one yet - plus the 6 tube abs issue. Hmmmmm, sucks!

We had the same issue with it when we put it on my Challenger, and the solenoid had to be flipped around ... then it worked perfectly. With mine, we had the SLP logo facing right side up, as one would think, but in actuality, it needed to be with the logo upside down, and it worked fine. All others we have installed have been the same way, so you might want to check that on yours and try it before ruling it out. SLP makes good products and I've not heard of these not working, as we have sold a number of them.

Hope that helps!

Ditto. I tested mine once yesterday after getting the car back from brake work and the finished install of this but it did not hold the car at all.

I swear, lol. I got in to test mine and was like WTF, I am rolling. So our guy read through the instructions and the solenoid actually had to be flipped around. You would assume the SLP logo goes upright, but not mine ... and maybe that is the issue with yours and others? It's worth a shot to try as what you described yours doing is just what mine did before we flipped the solenoid.

I just checked my install against the documentation on the install from http://www.slponline.com/inst/D25000.pdf and mine is just as illustrated, with the brass part on top.

So yours is brass part up and mine is brass part down. Both ways and they dont work.

Poop. Ill flip mine around and try it out, but I really dont want to bleed the darn brakes again.
