Those Hoosiers have hooked well for me, But with all the new tire options and set ups for slicks Ill be moving on. And Jeff no new strategy I think those are the old vs. new ones he got.

That would work if you could figure out which wheel was going to spin

LOL, no. The tire on the left is one of my old tires (275/4017), the one on the right is my new tire (315/35/17).

Metgo those 315/35/17 do hook well....but at the same time those buggers sling alot of rubber all over the place. The short period I had those big suckers I had many of the track operators at different tracks ask that I get as far into the puddle of water as to insure that I was not slinging little pebbles behind me... If those Hoosiers were not so short... I probably be sticking with them. Oh yea... they don't LAST long. I think I only had less than 20 trips down the track on them before I wore them out.

Nice drag radials. My best 60' time with MT 275 40 17 ET was with a short burnout. Later I found MT's recommendations, here is the link

Based upon my personal experience I will tell you that I WOULD not want to go below 15lbs PSI with our heavy A$$ cars. I know it said Radials but with the M/T ET STREET Bias ply those recommended tire pressures will ENSURE you to have a WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE down towards the end of the 1320 ft mark. Just my 2 cents but someone may need to contact them to discuss the PSI setting for a 4200lb car.

Thanks to Alcharger posting the link I did another one with a bit more information on tire pressure recommendations:
