Raking the Magnum?

Has anyone figured a way of lifting the rear an inch or two, without killing the ride of stock suspension? I'd be curious to see what a raked Mag looks like. I used to run my El Camino raked and I just loved the look. It would also allow for a slightly larger tire in the back and that might give a bit of a deep dish impression.

Just aimless thoughts on a Monday morning...

I believe if you go to the thread " Can You Find Your Magnum Here" and scroll through the pictures, I believe you'll find one that has been raked.

I'm gonna rake mine later on but just with different sized wheels.
Gonna keep 20X8.5s up front, lower the front 1.5 inches and go with 22.10.5s in the back at stock height. I think it'll be perfect.
I'm wanting to go ahead and drop the front end now. It's just been hard to buy a whole kit when I'm just gonna use two springs.

mymag, thats what actually sparked the question. I saw the raised maggie there and remembered how much I enjoyed my ElCo raked.

grin, I hear ya. I'm really struggling with lowering her though. Being as tall as I am, its already almost too low to get in and out of comfortably. Lowering it more would probably make it a real chore. I'd much rather find/figure a way of raising that rear 2" or so, then filling the well with a meaty tire. Its not as simple as a block or shim is it?

You could buy the SRT8 springs for the front... that would lower the front .5" and give you a bit of the raked look with out having to buy a full 4 spring kit.

The raked look will definetely look sweet, but watch out. Probably would cause some pretty nasty nose dive under corner braking

tire rake, larger on the rear would cause calabration problems with the abs would it not? Different diameters of tires turn at different rev per mile. Would not different springs confuse the stability controll? I don't think i would confuse the computer that could do what it does , in the name of control. To add to it all is it awd?
