Track Specs

GingerMan Raceway is a private road-racing course situated on a 350-acre site. The track is 1.88 miles long, twisting left and right and up and down on the naturally rolling landscape. It simulates a country road, but without the risks to pedestrians and oncoming traffic and eliminates other hazards such as ditches, phone poles, trees and other objects. This relatively new facility was built on vacant farmland, which contained aged and past-their-prime apple and cherry orchards. The track layout was developed by Alan Wilson of Motorsports Development, Denver, Colorado, to take advantage of the natural terrain. Track grading and paving was done by Klett Construction Company, a local firm, using special polymerized asphalt material formulated to stand up to the stresses of racing and Michigan winters.





I probably should have kept the test and tune a secret. I get out there and frequently am the only person on the track. It is awesome to have this kind of access to a really good track. It is my provate proving ground.

I presume the helmets you are looking at are the open face, if so Black would be better than White.

Still looking to do a convoy. I am leaving from Derry NH on the 29 around 10am, and I will be staying at the track, any other cars near buy want to hook up and do a convoy down?

I agree on the black helmets for the group buy. how is that going to work anyway? Payment on Monday? I assume we need to get these paid for so they can ship out in time.

Ron but my guess is these guys are sitting on stock and want to clear it hence the discounts. so it may be a size/color no choice thing, it just depends.

LOL, I've been on Robs case about the helmets because I honestly thought this coming week-end was the week-end to head down to NJ. It wasn't until my brother stopped by yesterday asking about pulling the motor out of his car this coming week-end (the 21st) when it occured to me that I have to wait 2 more weeks :(

Pedders USA, LLC will provide a DVD to every Driver that is registered and paid. I have not discussed the detail of this with Dan, but we will need the snail mail address for everyone and would also like to get a digital still of each drive by their car with their name. We have to work out the logistics with Dan.

Pedders will bring a case of DV tape to the event. Anyone with a DV camera is welcome to grab a tape and shoot video during the day. Drop the tapes off with Pedders at the end of the day and we will use the extra camera work to create the best possible DVD. With around the track cameras, in car cameras and on car cameras we should have a great deal of interesting and diverse video.

The Pedders G8 paint work and body modifications are almost complete.








TommyZ has done a stellar job with the car. We should have the front spoiler ready for the 30th which will be the finishing touch. Check out the detail work. Cleaning up the headlight lenses doesn't seem like a big deal, but the result dramatic. Painting the OE kidney chrome body color is another detail that becomes a big deal. Eliminating the OE black plastic on the lower grilles makes a huge difference. The body color spoiler should put it over the top.
