Hampton Roads 2 LX Nats and Beyond

Looks like I am going to be able to make my first LX Nats
What I want to do is roll with as many fellow LXers as possible. I see caravans leaving from New England, Kansas, Canada and other places all headed to the same place.

Is any one leaving from the Hampton Roads VA area?

Are you planing on hooking up with other groups along the way?

Are you somewhere between the Hampton Roads VA area and Salem OH?

Would you like to see every LX on the east coast pull in at the same time? Like a long line of sexy-ness!!!

I was thinking of leaving early on Friday and heading up I-64 W to I-295 N, I-95 N, I-495 N, I-270 N, I-70 W/US-30 W/I-76 W and into the Beyond.

I've made that drive many times when I was stationed in Norfolk, if DC is to messed up take 17 from Fredricksburg through Winchester and pick up the 70 that way.

This is the way I usually go when I go to Ohio. I've tried both ways, and generally, even though it's further, bypassing DC by going this way always ends up being quicker. Every time I try to go through DC, I end up stuck in some sort of ridiculous traffic jam.

Plus, back roads through BFE are fun if the conditions are right....

2009 EVENT SCHEDULE

This is not final yet, but we wanted to give everyone an idea of how the schedule is shaping up and also some of the caravan coordinators have been asking so they know when to get here and when they can plan on heading home.

Looks like both AL G and I are throwing our hats into this ring as we are now going to attend the LX& Beyond Nationals. We are ready to roll\join a caravan up if there is going to be one from this area.

We are still looking for vehicles for the event t-shirt for the LX & BEYOND NATIONALS. As we have always done in the past, ONLY forum members/vendors that are planning to attend the event will be eligible to submit pictures to be featured on this year's shirt. Both vendors and forum members are eligible to submit images for entry. Your vehicle MUST be modified. If you are interested, please PM or e-mail turbobuckeye (Anthony) for details. We will stop accepting entries after April 18 in order to allow time for the artwork to be completed and have the t-shirts available for sale before the event.

Thanks everyone for all the support, bumping those threads, getting those caravans organized and making this THE BEST LX & BEYOND NATIONALS event yet!!! If you don't see me posting up a lot its because I'm working hard to get details locked down for YOUR event. I don't take the LX community support lightly and appreciate that you all are coming to my home state of OHIO to meet new friends and old friends and have some FUN. Without all of you and your support the event is nothing.

Vendors sitting on the fence or waiting to the last minute.....time is running out. We have got to lock down many details that simply can not wait until the last minute. You know I love all ya'll and you know everybody wants to see you (we want to see you) so let's get moving and start locking down plans to get here on JULY 18-19. Make no mistake folks, ONLY the #1 vendors for the LX and SRT community will be here in 2009. Less than 3 months to go.

This is the largest LX-platform event left of the season. Don't be caught sitting at home wishing you were here.

Already 194 people on the registration list that are gonna say, "I told you so."
