Polished Alum. Wheels
Can anyone point me towards a good source for 18" or 20" polished aluminum wheels for my Magnum? Not into chrome. I know there a ton of places to get them. I'm looking for people that have had good service and experiences from past purchases.
Thanks , Deuce |

I know this is a repost from another thread, but it works here too, and since I'm rather proud of these...
If you are willing to go for custom wheels, check out the polished aluminum Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs. These are 18"x8" rims with 255/55/18 BFGoodrich g-Force KDW-2 tires (I should also mention that these pics were taken after putting a layer of ZoopSeal on the wheels): Here's how they look on my Magnum: |

But where did you get them ID, did you just go to coddington.com or something and order them?

<repost from another thread>
At the time I ordered them, at the end of March, the set of 4 custom rims cost me $1,500. When I re-checked their price at the end of June, they had gone up to over $500 a piece! Not sure what they cost now. Since these were a custom order, the only way you can get these rims, I was able to specify the offset and bolt pattern I wanted. I just used the numbers I got from the Knowledgebase... bolt pattern of 5x115mm and offset of +18, I think (not sure of the exact offset, but it's whatever is in the KB). I believe that my local tire guy, the owner of one of the Big 'O Tire in Boise, called the Boyd Coddington distributor that I found on the internet (using Google). BTW, the only bad thing about these rims as far as I'm concerned, is that it took over 6 weeks from the time I ordered until they came in (I've never been known for my patience)!!! <grin> I definitely think it was worth it now... but at the time, I thought I would go nuts waiting for them... |

Go to http://www.billetwheel.com/cgi/wheel...ies&img=2&tn=1 for the sizes of the Boyd Coddington Smoothie II wheels. They are available in 18 X 7, 8, 9 or 10 inch widths and 20 x 8.5 or 10.
Contact one of the stocking distributors to get better pricing from the wheels start page. later, |
