I've been kicking the idea of lowering my Magnum around for quite a while and I was wondering what you guys thought. Judging from past experience (a 4/6 drop on my old Syclone...TERRIBLE!!!), I am very weary of doing it...But it sure does look good on the ones I've seen. The only drop kit I've seen so far that seems feasible is the 1" by Eibach. I have 22" rims with 35 series tires, and I'm worried about tire rub if I do it. Anybody dropped one on 22's yet? Also, does the Eiback suspension settle further than expected? Any info is appreciated...especially anybody whose already done it. Thanks
PS...You can check out my Mag at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/803497 Maybe that'll help you all decide if it would be the right thing to do. I also don't want to be worried about speed bumps and the like. Maybe I'm out...I don't know....Thanks. |

I've had my car lowered since the day I bought it, well the next day. I am running 22's with 255/30/22 tires. I love the ride and the car looks amazing. There are some compromises with any mods but I can honestly say that if I were going to do it all over again I would. Hope to see you at the Garden Grove Cruise on the 29th. I sent you a PM. |

you should definitely drop it, cause the wheel gap with those 22's looks awful...
i run the Eibach's and the ride is close to stock... about as comfotable a ride you will find with a lowered suspension... as long as you have the proper offset on your rims, you shouldn't have to worry about rubbing... |

My ride bagged with 20's drops to ground without an issue, and a couple of Mags with 22's I know, are bagged as well with no issues or modifications. Like Diesel said, off-set is a key factor. I've heard of someone here on the boards, say that when their car is loaded with people, they experience some rubbing.

Don't drop it. I think it looks tough the way it is. I've seen one persons dropped car on this forum where the camber is all screwed up and the wheels are at an angle where it looks like someone squashed the car from the top. It looks awful. Your car looks great as it is! Good luck whatever your decision.

What's the deal with the camber kits?
Are any of the lowering spring kits designed so that they do not screw up your alignment? |
