This was a great thread with lots of info. Got another question. My setup for my R/T will be a getrag 3.06 lsd, 2800 stall, 6.1 stock headers and midpipes, 6.1 slp LMII cat back, sparrow cam and a set of heads. I want to go with a set of milled S/S heads. However, somewhere down the line I plan on doing a 5.7 based stroker and use the milled S/S heads. Would it better for me to just get a set of Extreme milled heads for now since I plan on eventually using them in a stroker? For now will I be giving up performance using the milled extremes with a sparrow since they breath so well? From what I understand heads can have too much flow.

milled S/S heads will be more than adequate for 90% of stroker builds.
you will be very happy with them.

What are your thoughts on the 3 inch SLP exhaust with this setup?

perfect size pipe for a stroker setup,
id rather see like a 2.5" or 2.75" on a head/cam R/T
(even tho i run a 3" lol.... i think im losing a little velocity)
but as soon as you get into big inche displacement, 3" is on the money
