Question Requesting your feedback......

Given the current economic status of the country we are reviewing a LOT of the details of the 2009 LX & Beyond Nationals to determine what makes the best sense for everyone and still have this be an enjoyable event for everyone to attend and look forward to in June. We have observed a lot of automotive events across the country decline in attendance and want to make sure that there is an interest in seeing this happen next year.
  1. Would you be interested in a 1-day (ALL DAY) event that combined the racing and carshow on the same day?
  2. Would you be interested in a 2-day event that combined the racing and carshow on the same day, and had a social gathering (cook-out, barbecue, etc.) the day prior?
  3. Is it necessary to have the racing and carshow split on two separate days?
  4. What determining factors will you use to decide which national carshow/racing events you will attend in 2009?
  5. Given the economic status do you feel there will be enough attendance at national automotive events next year to warrant traveling out-of-state?

Thank you,
Anthony Carter and Chuck Green

Anthony, I would consider coming again next year and with my ride too. I'm certain you'll have taken care of the few short comings that occured this year. But I would not even consider it if it were going to be a one day event.

Oh, and furthermore I would also definitely prefer a two-day event. Like Cammer said, having a one-day event defeats the purpose of people travelling so far to attend an event.

I like the idea of a cookout/BBQ on one day for a social gathering. Granted, we had name tags on and stuff, I feel like there were a TON of people I just didnt get to talk to or meet at all. If there's one thing I regret from this years event (other than having AAC halos, hahahahaha) its that I didnt sit down and shoot the breeze with more folks.

I also like having the drag racing and car show on the same day. I dont see a problem with doing that.

It would be nice to have the 2 day event still exist no doubt. I think if you made the car show judging on the 1st day and 2nd day with trophies handed out with the racing, you would have more participation.

I also think you should make the quick 16 an open to all class, vendors too. You can make the prizes for non-sponsored vehicles only I guess but I think having the marquis cars competing with the average owners cars makes for better competition and participation.

I really enjoyed this event and will make every effort to make it in 09.
