I rotated my tires this weekend myself, while doing it I noticed that a tire has a small nail right in the middle with no head. I have the RT puncture proof tires, are they really puncture proof? Should I pull it out? But even worse I found a nail with a big flat head in my front right tire today. Should I pull that one out as well?? Now i'm trying to figure where the hell these nails coming from... Thanks! |

Well it is going to come out anyway isn't it? If it is the original Contis, they should seal. If you are worried go to the closest tire dealer, pull it out and drive around the place until you are satified that it wont leak. Not being a smartass, just practical I guess.

I had a nail in my self seals that leaked. I had to take the wheel to a tire place for them to break the bead and then move the goop by hand inside to cover the hole. That was October and no leakage since.
