bad:402 motoring

long story short i had ordered a painted srt front nose from 402 motoring over two years ago.took a couple months to get it but it was worth it,i have since ordered more stuff from them and was very pleased.but today i recieved a bill at my place of bussiness from the trucking company for the shipping cost that i had already paid through 402 motoring or avon wheels, what ever they are called, didnt pay.so i dont know if anyone else has this same problem or you may want to think twice about your purchase. so i will send a check out to avoid them going through collections,i dont need our bussiness getting a bad name.

Let me respond, since you didn't feel the need to call us first before posting this. Last night, after business hours, this collection company, that called you today , let us a message on our voice mail. First thing this morning upon receiving that message, Lori called the phone number left on our voice mail to see what this was all about. Despite whatever you were told, this was the very first we heard of any claim for any money that was overdue or due at all on any shipments that we contracted Central Freight to deliver. In fact Central Freight had a company debit card on file to charge our account on said shipments. All freight shipments were "prepaid" so I don't see how we would owe any money on shipping charges and I am bewillered in understanding how two years could pass without us being contacted by Central Freight directly before this company bought the file. Irregardless we asked the woman for proof that we owed anything.....which she refused to send to us. Basically she gave us til 2pm my time to pay up or she would call the customers on the bill of laden. All resonable attempts to deal with this person proved fruitless, and we are not about to just open our check book without a proper and full accounting of the transactions involved. We then contacted our attorney who has been in contact with this collection agency.

In closing, let me say this. I have been around the forums since 2005 with very few complaints. If down the road, after my attorney recieves whatever paperwork the collection agency has and it is determined that the shipping quotes we were given at time of shipment, were somehow unpaid, or unbilled, we will certainly pay what were we responsible for, and for what we were paid by the customers involved. We not here to screw anyone, but we are not going to be pushed around by an overly aggresive collection company just because they say we owe them money.

i can see this is going nowhere,i was asked to take car of this by my company.so i have sent a check out to central transport for $85.29 even though i had allready paid $150.00 for the shipping.so this ones on me 402.

Sorry that you let her pressure you into paying something that we feel has already been paid. They're collection tactics are no doubt full bore and short of us writing a check there was no reasoning with them. It is ashame that you chose to believe a collection company over us, especially since you have purchased multiple times. Just so you know....for whatever reason, the Bill of Lading shows our company name as Avon Custom Wheels, which was no no longer in business at the time. I don't know why this would have been, other then the account being set up by Jason when he worked here. In any case we would have paid the "prepaid" shipping as 402 Motoring with a 402 Motoring company credit card since that was our legal comapny at that time. This whole thing may be as simple as us paying the bill under 402 Motoring and that Central Transport did not credit the account properly.

Again since this transaction was over two years ago, it will take 7-10 days for us to get our records from the bank in order for us to establish whether or not this was paid or unpaid. Sorry but that is just the way it is.
