Brakes can be quite confusing.......heck, even after having it explain to me by resident brake guru Matt Robertson I still wasn't quite sure...you can turn yourself around with the options....but got it straight.

I jsut ordered a set of R1 Premium Slotted/Drilled front and rear........If I really planned on pushing them a ton, I would have went with the SRT front rotors.

But most importantly, I ordered a set of Willwoood BSLR's all the way around......I spoke with Todd @ TCE and he got me straight....can't wait to strap these on.....gimme a week and I'll give you my rookie review.

Brakeperformance dimpled/slotted are the best IMO, especially with the lifetime warranty. i love mine

I love my R1 slotted rotors, I've had close to 30k miles on them with no issues whatsoever. However I've determined my Hawk HPS pads are moody, they definitely squeek when warming up, but they will squeek randomly when they're hot or cold too...My .02, go with a pad other than Hawk, I don't remember who offhand, but someone else on the forums I recall had an issue with them doing the same thing.

Brakes are in no way "confusing". If you want "better" brakes, you have to get BIGGER brakes. The only people who are "confused" are those who read advertisements, not information. EVERY technical site that discusses braking says the exact same thing, and it doesn't matter if a forest of forum cowboys say something different.

Tomguy doesn't look like much now, but drinking milk does wonders
I can vouch for the quality and awesomeness of the R1's. And they are quite thick:

Mine do squeak, but I lost one of the tubes of anti-squeal paste so I used it VERY sparingly. The Hawk HPS pads I put on dust a lot. If I had to do it again, I'd buy the same brakes though. They stop great, smooth, and compared to stocks they haven't warped at all yet despite some very hard 3k miles thus far.

Hey guys, thank you for the + feed backs. Here at R1, we appreciate everything this community has done for us. For those who don't know, I have been a supporting vendor on this forum since 2007. I do have a limited time member discount that I occasionally open throughout the year. Please feel free to PM me on any questions or for price quoting.

We can drill your rotors in any drilling style you wish (slotted only, drilled, drilled and slotted, dimple, custom designs, etc).

Thanks
Steven
