Post Useful Mercedes Part Numbers

This list provides Mercedes part numbers for items useful to LX owners.

Ok, first item is the transmission dipstick
This allows checking the fluid level without having to use the starscan for tranny temps.
140 589 15 21 00

Trans Pan w/drain plug
140 270 08 12

Transmission Pan Gasket
Normal maintenance part
140 271 00 80

Transmission Electrical plug Adapter with O-rings.
You need this if you have a leak at the plug on the transmission.
203 540 02 53

Transmission Electrical plug Adapter O-rings.
These are replacement o-rings for the above plug.
026 997 40 48 28
026 997 41 48 28

Blue Top Transmission Solenoids
These will increase line pressure and therefore shift firmness in the 5 speed NAG1 Tranny.
240 270 00 89

More to come.

Hi good stuff so I assume I can use the trans stick in my 300 CRD since its a damiler/chrysler engine, so its just take the cap off the trans tube and shove the dipstick in?

Will the blue top solenoids cause future problems down the road with the added line pressure, and does the tranny need more fluid to compensate?

I haven't had any problems. Downshifts are firmer. Normal fluid fill procedure (and volume) with the above mentioned DB measuring stick.
