    AC problems

I'm bummed. On the way to work this morning (in Texas, where we are expecting high temps) my AC stopped working. It blows, just not cold. I guess it's back to the dealer for the second time in three weeks.

Unfortunately with a car as complex as this one you will have issues. Hopefully it is something minor and they will have you out the door quickly.

I had this same problem. I turned the car off, then back on again. And it started working. I called the dealership and they said if it does it again, to bring it in while it was not working. It hasn't happened again and it's been a few weeks.

A friend of mine had this problem with her new Durango but it did finally stop working all together. Then it died again a month later. After the second trip to the dealer its been fine since...about 6 months now.

make sure you have that little button with the snowflake pushed and lit up. Otherwise the ac will blow but the air won't be cold.

Same thing happened to me. Just got the car back FROM getting the air bag sensor on the pass side reset and went out with some friends and it was the big three. Hazy Hot and humid. The AC stopped working. Stopped for a while to watch some racing at a local track and got back in about 3 hours later and it was blowing cold air. Have not had a problem since.

    AC working again.

Well, I was going to take it to the dealer at lunch yesterday, but it seemed to be working fine. I guess I'll wait for it to fail completely.

Don't do that! Get it in to the dealer ASAP--there's no good reason not to!

A couple of questions for those of you who have this problem:

    1. Do you have the 5.7L or one of the V6's?

    2. When the problem occurs have a look under the hood and see if the A/C compressor is short cycling (this is for those of you who would know what to look for), please post your results to this thread.

    Thanks,
