Trans Connector / Plug leak

(Searched, very little info on this one) - This is NOT the 'O' rings.

Noticed I had a leak, so when my MRT was in for an LOF today, I asked them to have a look.

Diagnosis - Transmission connector and plug leak, replace.

Ordered:
Connector 52108308AB
Plug 5189122AA

Quoted $100 Deductible.

Does this sound high?

BTW, I have not paid yet to transfer the warranty (I think I heard you have to do that?) so what would I expect to pay without warranty?
How likely are they to notice the warranty is not in my name?

It could be anywhere from $220-$320 depending on market and local labor rate. We call it a transmission through plug.

How many miles do you have on the car?

If you PM me the last 8 of your vin, milage and last name, i could tell you what it costs to transfer the extended warranty.

Thanks.

Now my only question is in regards to warranty.

They called today, parts are in, I scheduled for next week so I can sort out the warranty questions first.

Does the basic warranty stay with the vehicle?

Was the oil coming from where the harness goes into the transmission case on the left front, above the tanny pan? If it was, only thing you needed or need is the o-rings, easy as pie to replace, just have to make sure you top the trans of with atf-4 fluid after. Was the leak from the connector?

They say not the 'O'-rings, specifically ordered connector and plug, not rings.

Anyone know about the basic warranty?

They have scheduled me to have it done UNDER warranty, I have not had it transfered yet, I do not want a nasty $300+ surprise.

Finally had time to sit and search the 'net for an answer.

So in this case since I am only concerned about the Powertrain Warranty, I should be fine.
