Guess these guys are wrong too.
But I mean its all up to you. Might work but I would do some serious degree and clay checking myself to even think about it in a stock 6.1 or you could end up like his first build.
    Cam question for 6.1 gurus

Well sone of us that have been here a while dont enjoy sellers telling obvious less inclined mechanically that it'll just slide right in no problem on a custom grind cam with stock motor. Need to adnace it? Need adjustable timing set for that. Maybe pop up a clear photo of the cam card so the guy can ask around

Yep Wanna be racer. different cam that sheared the pin and was replaced by Lunati. they had a problem with this due to poor metalurgie on a series of cams back then.

I will happily debate your lack of knowledge any time. just sayin check out the hemi race series for my name. and here is the fairy tell for you. just send some proof of your racing skills afterwords

Why, so you can reproduce it for your benefit? you are the typical keyboard specialist, have you even made a quarter mile pass (prove it). have you ever taken the time to think, maybe you aren't the most informed individual in the room. ill happily take this to PM with you so the OP does not have his thread derailed.

All good guys. I'm def in the less mechanically inclined category so any and all information is appreciated. I read through the thread that was linked from 2014. Sounds like after things got worked out there were no issues with the can. It is that a different cam that you were running. Why the issue with the cam lift if the heads are made to accompany it? Baja you were running this head and cam together correct? Wouldn't the tune take care of spark advance, timing etc... I'm def going to get a tune done when I install heads and cam no matter where I source them so wouldn't that take care of those issues. Sorry for my lack of knowledge with cams and thanks for all replies

Same cam specs, but due to the failure of the pin, Lunati reproduced the cam (new cam, same specs). the heads have the bronze valve guides, springs keepers, and retainers that allow for the higher lift from the cam, eliminating the potential for coil bind (and the reason why the SRTmax cam is limited to its lift).

I was running this combination in the video. You will need a custom tune and the reason I recommended Yohan (Diablo) is because he is the one that developed the tune I was running. No apologies needed, I'm happy to assist people with the same desires as I have. You just need to go to the dragstrip and enjoy the adrenalin rush that comes from racing the 1/4 mile......

Just to let everyone know I think Jeff is a standup and honest guy. Had a nice conversation this morning about the heads and cam. I think the guy has raced anything that has had a motor. Really sharp guy that is currently building something really "pissed off and mean" but I will let him elaborate on that. It really put my worries at ease. Ive sent payment!

So on to the next piece of the puzzle....what torque converter and which stall? Kinda initially feeling a 3400 or something in that neighborhood. Probably get a valve body at same time. So, Im ready for suggestions! Jeff reccomended Paramount so I will be reaching out to them but looking for any and all opinions
