LMI Magnuson S/C True CAI Install Guide

This was done by HemiSam and I thought would be very handy for all the other Magnuson S/C customers that are considering making the change from the boring stock airbox to something a little nicer!!

Custom Legmaker CAI for my Maggie
There weren't any CAI options for my Maggie, and the latest version of my Vararam test mule had no tubes I could chop, so I reached out to Legmaker Intakes for some help. Following are some pics of the install and the finished product. Thanks, Chris! Nice work, bro.

    Happy moddin'...

    The stocker air box...

    The new hog leg...

    Santa shows up...

Quality of the clamps is A-1!

Needed to open up the hole in the engine compartment for the stocker air box. Challenge was getting it wider, but maintaining the right shape and size since the hole will serve as part of the mount for the intake.

    From above

Drilled a couple of extra holes and mounted some plywood from below to allow the arbor on the hole saw to anchor the saw.

4 1/8" hole saw to getter done...

Filed the rough edge and used a nice rubber liner that LMI sent me to cover edge and pin the intake in place so that it's snug but can move a bit with the engine movement.

Started with the throttle body end since it's a bit of puzzle...

Got the CF piece in the fender well area so I could line up the filter below and avoid touching fog lights, etc...

    Bingo!

That looks fantastic. I bet the sound behind the foglight is like a freight train.

Price is 349.99 plus 25 shipping for the standard kit. If you want the red couplers, I will have to check pricing from my supplier. Let me know if I can help you out any more!!
