Good question! I have booked the flight, the Magnum rental, and spoken with people at both the Hermitage and Monel's Cafe.
The people I talked to reccomended staying closer to the Airport, as most of the hotels nearby have some of those weekly rates and some really questionable residents.
I may just go on Expedia later and search a bit. I wanted to stay right there in case I may need to crawl back to my room, but it looks like I'll have to drive. Let me know if you find something good in the meantime, gotta go feed some kids now!!

Hi Flo Cats
All of the major hotel brands are near the airport which is about 10 miles from the Hermitage, 12 - 14 minutes drive time. Magnum8r is correct. There are not any decent motels much closer. Personally, I like Hampton Inns and Marriott Courtyards.
As to Magnum8r being poured into bed, we will make sure that happens safely.
My phone number is 615-541-0139 if you have any questions that I can help you with.

Found a pretty good deal on a room at Embassy suites near the airport. 99 bucks a night. For two people (like me and the wife) that works out to be a pretty good deal since they have a full breakfast with the room. Not a continental but a full made to order breakfast. At most hotels if they have a place to eat, two people eating breakfast would run at least 20. I have stayed at Embassy suites before and the breakfast is top notch. Just made the reservation.

Well with the time frame I am looking for my arrival I am going to crash in the car fridaynight / sat morring then get a room Saturday night and drive home Sunday and enjoy it![]()
I still need to book Sat night though so I am hunting, about the only thing I care about is a bed with no critters and internet :D

No critters??? Guess the barn is out of the question.Originally Posted by RobAGD
Critters are the main reason I don't mind paying a bit extra for a room. Nearly stayed at a hotel one time that had critters all through the bed. Walked in the room, looked around, saw all I needed to see and left.

I'd love to be able to stay over, but it's not gonna happen, I'll be cutting out sometime after 9-10pm to make it back for work Sunday morning at 11.
Hope to be in town by 9-ish...

Although I can't be there in person I will be there in spirit. I look forward to reading the thread and seeing the pictures.
Congratulations Rev! The day is near! Got butterflys yet?
The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.
Wifey booked us in to a Fairfield close by for the first night, then we're at Opry for the next 2...
